Jenna won all the remaining immunity challenges after Heidi left...so I doubt that
she rode anyones coattails |

4. Mike - Thanks for falling into the fire, buddy. A Kucha F6 would've been predictable but way more entertaining than the "good people" + Amber and Keith. Besides, Tina could still slip through the cracks since she's almost definitely the last Ogakor picked off. Only problem here is that we lose Jerri three episodes early but the Varner/Skupin dynamic was priceless and having that extend a few more episodes would be well worth it. Outback is incredible for the first half and then pretty much dead after F7. A Kucha endgame would have been much better. Since we didn't know Kucha's long-term dynamics it would've made for an unpredictable finish too. That'a not being fair because it wasn't a lock that Kucha would have won the IC that was cancelled. As I recall, Rodger had sat out the blindfold RC and would have had to participate in the IC. If the IC would have involved swimming, Ogakor would have had an advantage. 3. Jenna L. - I despise her for many reasons, but even though she was in no way the weakest choice for ASS, if you want to blame anyone for ruining it, don't blame Lex, don't blame Rob; it's Jenna's fault. I'm sure Jenna wasn't the only one who was deadset against seeing a winner win again. But nobody else took it to the degree she did, where she basically felt entitled to outlasting them. To her, they didn't deserve to be there and she wanted to make sure they didn't get anywhere close to the end. Picking off the strong is a legitimate strategy, but it was bound to make ASS an incredible disappointment--only one person who'd made it to the final four the first time managed to make the final seven, and outside of him, the highest-placer had scraped up sixth the first time around. And Jenna was the one who led the pack as far as making sure that the endgame was going to consist of the weakest people who managed to make the cut for ASSReally, Jenna can only be held responsible for taking out one winner. The other Jenna quit and Jenna Lewis was not at the TC's where Ethan and Hatch were voted out. What had more impact on the so-called weaker players making it far was that the Chapera, the tribe that had most of the lower placers, won most of the pre-merge ICs and that the opposing tribe, that was led by Lex, took out Hatch, Colby and Ethan rather than Jerri and Shii Ann. Actually, I was ecstatic that lower placing contestants made it far especially since the one contestant that I really wanted to see facing the jury at the Final TC actually made it that far when I wasn't even expecting him to make the All Stars cast. I'm sure that CBS was happy that Rupert (America's hero) made the Final 4. |

Brian Heidik was a cold ruthless bastard, Machevillian. That is why he is one of the greatest players. He ruined survivors innocence? Please. And Terry Dietz
was a true survivor. Both of theese two incorporate what this game is about. They didn't ruin a thing.

Retrospectively, Brian H. is not that good of a player.
I want to see him against such wolves like, Hatch, Cirie, and Penner. |

Brian H is the original ice man. I wouldn't call Penner a wolf though. He is great for entertainment value in that he stirs things up and creates drama,
but he makes a terrible player. He just can't seem to hide what he is thinking.

She then jumped back on Heidi's coat tails from the F10-F5. Heidi was voted out and Jenna was ready to quit when she won the two last IC's and made F2 against a social dumbass (I like both Matt and Jenna). |

Look if there are 16 people and the only one playing is Brian, then of course he's gonna be the best player.

Survivor lost it's "innocence" in the very first series.
You had the Innocents in Greg, Colleen and so forth... people who wanted to enjoy the experience, play a few games and have a fun time. And they were just slaughtered by Hatch, Sue and company. "Nice" got it's arse kicked right at the start. And since then anyone who claims to play Nice gets labeled with being a hypocrite and a liar. Survivor is nasty. Always has been. If it wasn't it'd be boring. |

Nothing Greg and Colleen did with each other can be dubbed as innocent.

I was reading the 1st page and saw a post that mentions Amber and was like "Amber? Who's that?" Just goes to show that Amber helped ruin Survivor
if I can't even remember who she was even thought she won ASS.

In retrospect saying that Heidik "took Survivor's innocence away" was pretty dumb, but I still stand by what I meant and putting him at #1. Yep,
there were 'evil' people before him (Richard, Jerri) but his no-holds-barred strategy paved the way for people to follow in his footsteps and basically
forced the show to turn away from being character-driven to being game-driven, which isn't nearly as interesting to me. But like I said, it was probably
going to happen anyway and he just accelerated it.
That'a not being fair because it wasn't a lock that Kucha would have won the IC that was cancelled. As I recall, Rodger had sat out the blindfold RC and would have had to participate in the IC. If the IC would have involved swimming, Ogakor would have had an advantage. I think Varner said it was swimming-related but he insisted that Kucha had it in the bag. He's biased obviously so I'm not going to definitively give Kucha the point. But either way, had Kucha lost, Jeff was next on the chopping block most likely, so Ogakor wouldn't have a chance to force a tie against him. And I don't mean to kick Mike while he's down for it by any means, but whether Kucha wins the next IC or not, Mike taking Jeff or Jerri's place in Barramundi makes for a completely different merge situation. Really, Jenna can only be held responsible for taking out one winner. The other Jenna quit and Jenna Lewis was not at the TC's where Ethan and Hatch were voted out. Right, and like I said, I know there were plenty of ASS contestants who were all about taking out the strongest and best-placing players. Dethroning Rich was on everybody's mind, and Cesternino was too dangerous to take to the merge. But Jenna was the one who led the way for it and she was fortunate to be on a tribe with someone who already had baggage with a winner on the tribe (Jerri) and two pretty weak-minded players (Rudy and Rupert). I think that's what makes me single out Jenna for it; she felt entitled to the game consisting of weaker contestants. She made a comment in the first episode like "They've already won; this is our game. Get the hell off our playing field," and then an episode later when Ethan finds out he might not get the boot, he pinpoints Jenna in his sarcastic little "Thanks for granting me this one wish" bit. Even if she didn't actually have a hand in getting rid of all the winners, she was absolutely one of the biggest ringleaders behind the idea. |

Sometimes a player wins because that player has gone through painstaking effort to get to the final 2 (or 3) and that is recognized, other times someone
coat-tail rides with someone who is less likeable, still other times a person has made him or herself a huge target all season long and everyone was too stupid
to vote him or her off.... sometimes it's all 3. And that's why I don't think Amber ruined Survivor.
I don't even think Survivor is ruined. There are good seasons and bad seasons. Just the way it is. Hopefully Gabon will be one of the good ones. |

Stephannie Favor for not voting out Sundra at the first TC. Sekoumania would have been fun and without Sundra that stupid Aitu 4 bullshit would have never
happened.
