The funniest part was when the super grandma sat down to do the big balls and got immediately "motivated" off the platform.

And fyi I kept thinking she was saying "stripper grandma", which is so much better.

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, June 17, 2009

FOX racked up another ratings win Wednesday night as "So You Think You Can Dance" commanded the floor.

FOX averaged a 5.3 rating/9 share and just under 8.4 million viewers for the evening. CBS, 4.5/8, came in second, beating out ABC's 3.4/5. NBC finished fourth at 2.9/5, and The CW was as usual in the back of the pack at 0.7/1.

The adults 18-49 crown also went to FOX, which scored a 3.0 rating in the demographic advertisers love. ABC's 2.0 was good for second. CBS took third with a 1.5, followed by NBC at 1.3. The CW drew a 0.4.

"So You Think You Can Dance" led in households at 8 p.m. with a 5.0/9, but ABC's "Wipeout," 4.5/8, had a slight edge in total viewers. "The New Adventures of Old Christine" and "Gary Unmarried" finished third for CBS, a little ahead of "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here" (2.7/5) on CBS. An "America's Next Top Model" repeat earned a 0.8/1 for The CW.

"So You Think You Can Dance" improved to 5.5/9 at 9 p.m. and gave FOX an across-the-board lead. A "Criminal Minds" rerun, 5.3/9, moved CBS into second. The premiere of "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" on ABC delivered a 3.1/5 for ABC. NBC's "Law & Order" rerun, 2.6/4, was fourth, while The CW aired a repeat of "Hitched or Ditched."

CBS took over at 10 with "CSI: NY," 5.2/9. A second "Law & Order" posted a 3.4/6 for NBC, beating "The Unusuals," 2.5/4, on ABC.

The funniest part about Vonti and the Big Balls was something I didn't catch until the third or so slo mo:

Just after the initial bounce off the ball, she hits her bosoms on it and all the mud that had collected in her cleavage goes sploosh up into her face.

Awesome stuff!

Also, anybody notice that the second time the Sheriff went off of the spinning turntable, one of the hand straps splashed down next to him? There's no way he could've beaten Forrest, but it looked like an equipment failure ultimately did him in.

I loved the party girl trashing. The toilet heave was particularly inspired.

I laughed my ass off when SG sat down and got motivated. And Forrest = the best Wipeout contestant ever (in terms of ability, not necessarily entertainment). He was one step away from a perfect qualifier.

The party girl was hella impressive in that final. She basically had a perfect race. It just shows you how impossible it is for a female to win. Forrest had two (major/time consuming wipeouts) than her and he still beat her by almost three minutes. If she didn't suck so bad on the water slide, it would have been competitive.

Nick, I think they're not grabbing onto the tidal wave railing to stay on because there's a sheet of plexiglass that looks like it goes all the way to the top, so I don't think they can get too much of a handhold. I was thinking that they could plant their feet on the uprights that hold up the railing to stabilize themselves, but it looks like those bolsters are on the outside of the glass.
