That Wall-E Short Circuit ripoff has me standing here beside myself!
I just think it's cool that it's supposed to be almost a totally wordless movie, that is so cool because I am tired of people talking in movies. It ruins the image! |

I read some place that the director said he did not see the resemblance between Wall-E and Johnny 5 until someone pointed it out to him in post-production.
Also that he hadn't seen Short Circuit before making the film.

The scene where Number 5 kills the grasshopper is better than any scene Wall-E will have.

I'm not arguing the merits of Short Circuit, not at ALL.
just thought it was kinda stupid to make the robot look the same how does a film director making a movie about a robot do it without any research? |

This movie is gonna rock. I'm already in love with WallE after watching Finding Nemo on the Wonderful World of Disney the other night and seeing all of the
special previews or whatever. I can't wait. Pixar is the shit. Finding Nemo is still my favorite though they are all pretty spectacular.

I thought that too, but in the super special scene they showed at the end of Nemo the other night, those robots were talking more than I thought they would, so we'll see about that one. I still already love this movie. |

Wait, Finding Nemo was on the television? Was it Saturday night? Finding Nemo ranks as one of the best Pixar movies yet. Almost everything between
Monster's Inc. and Ratatouille, save Cars, is perfection. Part of me thinks they're doing a Cars sequel to make up for how unliked the original is in
comparison to the other Pixar movies.
Also, I want to see this movie to see the trailer for Up, the next Pixar movie. The opening twenty minutes, if what Pixar showed at one of the conventions earlier this year is true, will have some of Pixar's most emotionally draining scenes yet. |
