The opening list on this thread foolishly includes a lot of good performances, but there ARE plenty of real turkeys on it too, and at least it's a great
starting point for discussion. Here's my list, in reverse boot order. I've left most of the semifinalists out, since I need to rewatch the tapes to
refresh my memories. A * designates a true trainwreck. The rest are my choice for the person's personal worst.
. David Cook- Always Be My Baby, Innocence . David Archuleta- We Can Work It Out*, With You* (most other songs he did were interchangably mediocre, not terrible) . Syesha Mercado- I Believe, Got To Get You Into My Life . Jason Castro- I Shot The Sheriff*, Mr. Tambourine Man*, Memories*, both Neil Diamond songs* . Brooke White- You Must Love Me (To Not Vote Me Off This Week)*, Hero*, Jolene, I'm A Believer, Here Comes the Sun . Carly Smithson- Blackbird . Kristy Lee Cook- God Bless The USA*, 8 Days A Week*, Rescue Me . Michael Johns- A Day In The Life . Ramiele Mulaby- both beatles songs . Chakezie Eze- that mess from the first week of the semis. blotted it out of my mind. what was the title? . Amanda Overmyer- Carry On Wayward Son* . Danny Noriega- Tainted Love*, that Elvis thing* . I don't give a shit if the viewers weren't offended by Amanda. I was as everything she did was a streaming pile of shit, an absolute trainwreck or a
piss poor impersonation, sometimes all 3.
What was most offensive about Amanda though had nothing to do with her being untalented but the fact that she didn't even want to be in the competition. She was fucking miserable the entire time, even while getting undeserved tongue baths from the judges. She was even more miserable finale night. She didn't want to be on American Idol, that's obvious but I have no sympathy for the bitch because there were 6 seasons before this. She should have known coming into it that it wasn't her thing. She took a perfectly good spot in the semis and not to mention the finals that any of the others girls who got eliminated would have loved to have. If you suck and I don't like you fine, but at least enjoy the fucking experience and don't take a spot away from some other person who'd kill to have it. Amy, Joanne, Alaina, Alexandrea, Kady and Asia'H should be throwing flaming bags of shit at Amanda's house right about now. |

It's a serious list. Aside from Carry On Wayward Son, Amanda's other 4 performances were all interchangably screamed. If somebody wants to put ALL FIVE
of them on their list they won't get an argument from me. But Carry On's whole arrangement was so over the top that I thought it was her worst by a
good margin. It would have been a mess even with a good vocal.

Brooke White- You Might Love Me- 1.5Ummmm... she didn't sing a song by that name. She did sing ... You Must Love Me - though, and other than the start over ... she was great on the song. |

Cary on is probably one of the absolute worst performances of the whole season... it's god awful... only eight days a week and we gotta work it out and
maybe mr. tambourine man rival it in awfulness.
