I guess I'm boring, but I prefer to watch stable alliances and minimal backstabbing. You get that with mature players. Case in point, the CG alliance. Nobody flaked. The Boran alliance. Who flaked? Kelly, the youngest player. The Tagi alliance. Who flaked? Kelly, the youngest player. If I were playing, I'd zero in on the middle-aged players in my tribe, that's who I'd make the long-term plans with. Maturity is stability.
Ergo, the producers want younger players. Immaturity is instability. Instability is drama. Drama is ratings. |

Yea, but Kelly didn't flake on her alliance until Lex start gunning for her. And even then a young Brandon stayed true to his word with Lex.

Lex thought Kelly flaked, Kelly got voted out of her alliance because Lex is paranoid.

With all this flaking going on you would think someone would have brought "Head & Shoulders" as there luxury item.

Here's a suggestion SEG...
|
Instead of putting boring cutie 20 something year olds in the game...put a 26 year old who looks far younger then her age, but is an old soul. Survivor needs a 26 year-old who is strong opinionated, very strategic, admits that she will manipulate to win the game, and can work her magic!
Am I promoting myself...you bet your damn ass I am. The way I see it everyone who knows me personally through work, school, family, and friends knows I am a kind-hearted person...and with that I could give a hoot on how others would perceive me on the show. Sure I will do whatever it takes to win...it's called playing the game. I would be disappointed in myself if I went into the game only using my personality. So let's here from some others on this board. Are you willing to play the game to the point were you don't care what the viewers think? |

suggestion: new game plans

How about dropping the survivors off alone. They'd have to survive on their own for a specific period of time before being allowed to scout out other survivors to form (or not form) their own teams.
Or, solo survivor ... see who can survive alone the longest. Or pairs, play teamed in pairs ... the pair that came in last in the immunity challenge would be sent home. Pairs who lasted to a possible merge, would probably have formed a close relationship. If alliances ,and discussions about who to vote off, were banned from the game it would probably force new strategies. I still love Survivor, but some new twists/changes would make it less predictable and more fun. |

I would play SURVIVOR as dirty and rotten as it needed to be played, and I wouldn't give a rats-tail what anyone thought.
Being on Survivor is a dream come true and there is no way I wouldn't try my best because I was afraid what someone would think. Screw em'! |

Quote: I assuming from the name you are a Rich fan. I think Rich did a great joib playing the game..and he used is communication skills. Can you blame him for playing the game like he did...look who was in his tribe... |

For me, I find the whole "I'm honorable and cannot tell a lie" thing to be getting a little tedious -- not that I wouldn't have that very flaw if I ever got on.
I woudn't mind seeing a season of all snakes: JFP, Rich, Rob C (maybe, although his stock has dropped considerably), Brian... |

Re: you said it | ||

Personally I don't think people can play a game that's to far from who they are. i.e. If you're an honest person and generally don't tells lies I don't think you will be lying and cheating your way through Survivor. Just like if you're an extrovert/leader it will be almost impossible to play UTR.

Re: you said it | ||

Agreed, 2stupid. And just as S1 without Rich would have quickly become dull dull dull (assuming no one else thought of Alliances), and all backstabbing crew would quickly descend into chaos.
In some ways, am all UTR crew would be interesting. How long would it take before they all grew hyper paranoid because they had no one to follow? |

Re: you said it | ||

Sort of reminds me of Jabaru in the Amazon and Morgan in PI...the ones where they ultimately had to actually elect someone to be the leader.
Of course, how much of that was UTR and how much of it was, "Better /your/ head on that pike than mine"? |

My main complaint is that instead of having them win feasts for reward challenges, let them win more and more equipment to catch different types of food with
maybe a feast being a reward every 3 episodes or so.

I think that Jeff should get a chance to play. Right when he says the tribe has spoken to someone he should pull his shirt off, put on a buff, join a tribe,
and let richard hatch host or something.
