Thanks for the warning. I kind of don't care anymore with Survivor, but I DO NOT want to be spoiled for the Mole.

ooh. bump. Didn't know there were spoilers around. Shall we start a spoiler free thread or two?

I don't mind possible spoilers derived from freeze-framing through the ads and so forth. ABC aggressively plants information in there and I'd actually
like to know what they're doing. In the Mole 2 despite the Pisces clue and the telegram from La Talpa, nobody definitively ID'd the Mole until the
start of the final ep.
What would piss me awf is if somebody got a boot list from an insider at ABC, or another dumbass online betting spoiler. That sucks all the fun out of it, whereas divining information from the ABC tea leaves is part of the game. |

I definetely agree that boot lists are dumb. I prefer to observe the players' actions in-game and their confessionals to see who I suspect of lying and deceiving. I like searching out for the Mole instead of trying to figure out the order that players will go out. This isn't Survivor where the bootlist is important - it should be all about the Mole. Personally I'm going to avoid looking for digital clues and instead focus on observing the players and in-game clues (ie: the ones the players get). I'd rather play along with the actual players instead of being able to see a bigger picture which makes things too easy. |

I clearly remember everyone choosing Bill as the Mole before the season was cut short prematurely. The telegram clue confirmed it 100%. After discovering that clue there was no point in looking for others because it was so clear cut.I remember it differently, with at least one other faction passionately and incorrectly arguing that someone else was the Mole right up until the finale. I remember myself writing that I was on the Bill bus, but seated by the emergency exit just in case. I didn't start watching until it re-aired on the second go-round, though. Of course, when "Bill is the Mole" flashed during the opening credits of the finale, it was game over. Anyhow, I guess my point is that the clues ABC provides to mess with us is part of the game and the viewing experience. A leaked boot list or its cousin, the betting spoiler, is not. |

Actually, my least favorite aspect of this show is the gradual release of the hidden clues. I guess they could be fun to look for on your own, but all they
really amount to is a day-after reveal from somebody online that quickly circulates the internet and ends up ruining all the suspense about the Mole's
identity, which is pretty critical to the show. The finale of Mole 2 would have been much more suspenseful if the Mole hadn't been confirmed via hidden
clues so long before that last episode even aired.
Needless to say, no, I don't plan on frequenting this forum. I love discussing the show, but it'd just be too difficult to bare if the Mole was revealed to me via spoilers or even hidden clues. |

There definitely needs to be spoiler-free episode thread, but of course there's no stopping people who know spoilers from "speculating".
Does anyone know what has been spoiled? Just the first boot, or the entire thing? |

Okay I'll PM you all the spoilers when they show up.

As much as it pains me, I will be no where near this forum when the Mole begins. There will be some asshole who "knows" the spoilers of who the Mole
is and will pretend that they were so clever and observant to find out on their own.

I can't say that I'm aware of all the details that have been uncovered, but here are the ones I do know about (without
spoilers):
- The boot order is a little fuzzy, but at least 4 contestants have been spotted posting messages on their friends' Myspace pages before and shortly after filming was done. Shan reveals these contestants in the molehypogroup forum. - There are a lot of clues floating around that point to The Mole's identity, but very few of them seem legit. The most convincing one (in my opinion) was discovered by hank4congress on the ABC Mole message board concerning the stuff written on the boat seen in the commercials. |

Yeah, I could just imagine everyone on here dissecting all the clues, and when the first episode is over, I think we'll have our mole.

I'm also conflicted about reading this forum because I think it's fun to try to figure it out on my own. It's interesting to read everybody's
theories, I just don't want a definitive spoiler of who the mole is.

I enjoy dissecting the episodes and looking for producer-placed clues. I don't want spoilers all over the place in here.
Who is the forum moderator? Can that person be counted on to be diligent about dealing with people who deliberately post spoilers that aren't in spoiler tags or in a clearly marked spoiler thread? I think the rule on spoilers should be they should all go into one thread and every OTHER thread be blatant spoiler free. That way, the bulk of the forum will be dedicated to spec & discussion, and the spoilers if any will be contained. Does that sound like a plan? |
