Carrie actually sang the lyrics how they should be sung, whereas George Michael just sings it as any other ordinary pop ballad (yes. I know it's HIS song, but for once, Carrie did it better than the original, and that's a near impossible feat)

His version is nothing like a pop ballad, it's almost tortured the way he sings it, like he has become so jaded and sad. Someone needs to listen again.
His version makes me cry, hers made me wince.
