I have 4 friends I watch Survivor with almost regularly.. as expected, they were fans of James & Ozzy, and liked Amanda by association. They were LIVID
when Ozzy was blindsided and hated Parv (but not Cirie, they were indifferent to her).. they didn't really care about strategy and thought Amanda deserved
to win because she won more challenges and was cute.

My mom and occasionally my bro/sis watch Survivor with me, and my mom liked Cirie, James, and Erik. She didn't really like Joel or Natalie I don't
think, though I remember she really hated when Ami started crying at TC because she thought she was being fake.

Sucks loves hardcore strategic players more than casual fans. Jonathan and Yul were the two faves around ehr during S13, and Candice and Parv fans were a
minority and caught a lot of grief.
Katie and Danielle were 2nd like Amanda, yet were among the most hated players around here. There was an appetite for a penis win in S10 since there hadn't been a Tom\Ian type winenr in ages. Poor Danielle was much less popular than Aras at Sucks, despite them both being somewhat dull eye candy. Bob Dawg had a following and Danielle took him out. There are many Danielle\Amanda parallels: * both were falsely rumoured to win * both allied with Cirie, but ended Cirie's game * both won challenges at the end. * both aspiring mactresses * neither especially articulate or charismatic Janelle is the most popular female on BB, in large measure, as Kaysar's best friend and surrogate. Amanda is the same for Ozzy\James fans. Though everyone cheered when Amanda idoled the Sea Haglet. She really was heroic and the star that episode. |

Casual fans think the challenges are the greatest things on the show. Hardcore fans would rather see strategy and starvation.

The casual fans I know loved Ozzy and James, hated Cirie, and thought Ami was the Anti Christ.

Casual fans I know were rooting for Amanda and Erik this season and HATE Cirie.
Typically the casual fans root for challenge whores- Ozzy, Terry, etc. Terry in particular was a hero with my coworkers who watch. Surprisingly, I don't recall any of the casual fans I know commenting on James at all other than to call him dumb during China after he was voted off. |

Casual fans think the challenges are the greatest things on the show.Only up to a point. James won ZERO indidivual ICs in 2 season, Booby Jon got his ass handed to him over and over, yet they are loved by casual fans. On the other hand, Jenna M won FOUR ICs in Amazon, Eliza rocks the challenges, but they are less popular. |

I meant in general, not the challenge winners. Most people I know think the challenges are the best part of the episodes.

I was always a fan; but after Australia, I became so' busy 'that I did not watch the other seasons for several years (through Vanatu) as i could not
watch the show consistently. Then, I saw an episode (post vanatu- I think it was exile) and remembered how much I liked the show. I then ordered every dvd
(including those not of official release) of all seasons I had missed. I must say there is something about watching all the seasons on dvd that made me more
of a fanatic because you can watch one episode after another..it sort of stoked me more into what was going on as there is no week between' episodes.
At any rate, i do not know 'people who are into survivor like i am..Also, i am unsure if i would of been into survivor if not for the dvd's (both official and non official version)as there is something about viewing a whole season of survivor in a day or two compared to a week between episodes. |

My aunt who was a casual viewer a few years back told me they'd watch Fans vs. Faves if Rupert were in it.
