yeah they ran him over, and backed up to run over him again and then to make sure, they sped it up forword and ran over once more.
But just my opinion, Archie did do better. I thought Cooks second song sucked. 3rd one was good and the first one was awsome. I think he also dropped the ball. I guess they saw that and raked his ass over the coals. |

I think they might have been prepared to praise Cook, but probably saw the dress rehearsal and realized that with song choice and their singing order,
Archuleta was going to do better. My opinion only, but I think anyone who tuned in for the first time tonight would have been more impressed with Archuleta.
I thought "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" was fantastic and I give him a slight edge on the second round only because I do think his song choice was better than Cook's. I was actually surprised at Cook, not that the songs were great, but there were better songs for him to pick from. Simon's criticism on Cook's last song was too harsh I have to admit. But Archuleta really knows how to connect with "Imagine" so that round was pretty even. So yeah, they did throw him under the bus, but he helped them out a little. |

Well, it's not really having a reverse effect. If they didn't bash Cook tonight he would be out in front by 20 points instead of 2 points.
What it's doing is giving Archie a chance to win, which he wouldn't have had otherwise. |

Devil Child's "Don't Let the Sun...." can't hold a fuckin' candle to Clay's.
The rest was predictable. "Imagine" was nowhere near as solid as the first time. His coronation song was right on par with the shitastic songs of Idol yore. That said, Cook wasn't particularly sharp either. At least he didn't say why he picked the personal song he did and didn't cry for pity votes. Real man there. |
