Granted, I thought the Paolos were CPM, but that's just me. and Lulz, perhaps I underrated Rob/Brennan - I had them at UTRP, but maybe they're just MOR(no tone)? Conversely, I think I overrated Paul/Amie - I had them as MORM (with an option for CPM), but considering that 2/5ths of their airtime have been OTTN, I don't see how it evens out. Hmm...

ETA: I remembered that Vyxsin cried at Burkina Faso and they are viewed as a threat so OTTM. Jennifer and Nathan- CPM negative at times but redeemed at the end Nicolas and Donald- UTRP nothing special and bland. but don has "i can do this even when i'm old" storyline. Ronald and Christina- CPP OTTM negative at netherlands but were redeemed later. TK and Rachel- UTRP bland and boring but they had the "good guys finish first" edit. See, one of the things that I always forget about edgic (and one of the reasons I've always thought it was kind of retarded) is most of the time I don't see any difference between the person and the edit. I mean, I don't really think Danni got an UTRP edit in Guatemala, I think Danni WAS UTRP in Guatemala. Obviously some people receive really biased or manipulative edits for some reason or another, but for the most part, eh.

They ran a flawless race but fucked up the Final leg thus getting the OTTM. ^___^ ETA: Gosh I'm now addicted with this edgic thingy. The editorial intent of Marc/Rov is clearly P (specifically OTTP) - with M/R you really can't trust fan reaction because they're so ridiculously polarizing. Anyways, M/R are OTTP, which is whatever, since they didn't win. (And for what it's worth, Ken/Gerard plowed through the entire race and messed up in the final leg also, but they were certainly P. See also: Brandon/Nicole (somewhat), Kris/Jon) I may as well get TAR 4 done and over with. Debra/Steve - UTRP - Fairly good edit for a first boot - they got the "I would've never done this in my regular life" confessional, which always boosts complexity. Amanda/Chris - UTRN or OTTN - And either way, I'm unhappy with it, since a lot of their complexity was boiled away and a lot of their sarcastic nature was broadcast as bickering and assholiness. It's sort of the same dilemma with Natalie on Micronesia: is an aggregate rating more reliable than an overall reaction? That's for you to decide. Russell/Cindy - OTTN - Now this is easily OTTN. There's a reason he's called Russhole. Steve/Josh - CPM - Either way, they're probably the earliest racers to get a CP. In spite of some of the strange negativity they received, they were quite developed, both as individual personalities and as a team. Fairly good edit (until the end) for a fairly good team. Steve/Dave - MORN - Again, strange negativity (though somewhat justified). They were a little too one-note for a CP. Monica/Sheree - MOR - They might be positive to some, but to me there really wasn't much there. I think that the editors had them as tone-issuers, hence all the negativity towards Steve/Josh and Reichen/Chip. Tian/Jaree - CPM - And they would be the only lesbian dysfunctional couple we've had on the race. This was really more of an aggregate rating than anything, what with the OTTN-ness of their first half of the race combined with the CPPP/girl power edit of their boot episode. Millie/Chuck - CPM - For those of you who doubt this, watch them in Malaysia. Jon/Al - OTTP - What is it with giving fourth place teams OTT edits (as will be seen again with Meredith/Gretchen and the Godlewskis). David/Jeff - UTR - Who? Kelly/Jon - CPN - Duh. I could see a CPM, but they were just too much of assholes to suddenly-P Millie and even more suddenly-P... Reichen/Chip - MORP That was by far the most bullshit winners edit ever. I assume that after Flo!, they wanted a positive winner as to not alienate the fanbase, which I can understand. Perhaps (and this is me being really cynical) they didn't want to negatively edit a gay team for fear of the backlash - there really weren't many (if any) notable gay reality winners prior to that except for Hatch. That I could understand (and am saddened by). However, the fact that I can easily recall at least four instances in which they were complete assholes (the fiacre drama, waiting for the lighthouse, making fun of Millie on the train to Alleppy, and bitching at the taxi driver in Seoul - this one is really the only one that is justifyable since they apparently paid extra for an English-speaking driver). Still, all this could (and would) ordinarily get them an M, however I feel that the outside factors caused them to be edited more positively then they actually are. In retrospect, an entire third of the cast is CP, which seems entirelly too high for me. I dunno, and I don't feel like rewatching TAR4 to find out.

The whole France episode starts off them as hugely negative, then ignores them entirely (instead of showing how the negativity caused their demise) then gave them one of the positive sendoffs ever (complete with respectful military music!). Otherwise I agree except for my previous comment about Steve/Dave - one N moment after a season of positive ones include Dave crying over missing his wife(!!) =/ a negative edit. And Tian/Jaree were 100% OTTM. They never had any depth - we never even saw some of Tian's wacky schemes (like ripping up maps and ruining the Clowns' laundry). Their entire story was just "Jaree is lazy", "Tian pushes Jaree too hard" then "they finally get along". I'd probably put Reichen/Chip as MORM too if only because of the first three episodes. Given that I've read that they start editing the episodes before the finale is filmed, I've always assumed they started the hamfisted positive edit afterwards. The sloppy editing usually meant teams were completely one-dimensional (Amanda/Chris + Cindy/Russell, and to a lesser extent Monica/Sheree) or veered from extremes of good and bad without any consistent tone (Steve/Dave, Tian/Jaree). I can easily recall at least four instances in which they were complete assholes Don't forget Reichen threatening to beat people up at the train station in Ep 2 or, the #1 thing that everyone seems to forget about TAR4, them trying to push in front of Amanda/Chris at LAX, then getting hypocritcally pissy when Steve/Dave got tickets (even though they only took Monica/Sheree, not theirs). Speaking of which, here's TAR6. Avi/Joe - UTR - Aaaaaaaand next. (Though I did love 'New York Jews in Iceland') Meredith/Maria - UTR - See above. Lena/Kristy - MORP - Hay bales bring them up from UTR to MORP. Don/MJ - MORP - Fairly good old-person edit. Gus/Hera - CPP - Ok, so in retrospect they're more than barely CP (like, if CP had a scale for intensity they would be at like a 3 or 4. In comparison, Tara/Wil would be at a 10). Jonathan/Victoria - OTTN(N) - Isn't it obvious? Lori/Bolo - MORM - And so if MOR had a scale of intensity with regard to UTRness or CPness, they're like an 8 (In comparison, Monica and Sheree are about a 4). Hayden/Aaron - MORN - Quitters never win or get positive/mixed ratings. This is sad because I <3 Haaron. Adam/Rebecca - CPM - Debatable N because they were both complete assholes to each other. Kris/Jon - MORP - On the MOR scale they're about a 2. Freddy/Kendra - MORN - Their UTRness for the first 3 episodes and their MORness for the Asia legs basically balance out the fact that they were OTTN for 3 near consecutive legs (Senegal, Berlin, second Budapest). Avi/Joe might deserve a mild N too, given they only had one episode where they called someone a bitch and overestimated their intelligence, only to get repeatedly pwned. Kris/Jon are 100% P. If any teams in the history of the show ever got a clear P edit, its Kris/Jon (and the Clowns. And Ryan/Chuck, I guess, but they only had one episode).

Also, because I have no idea where to put it but it relates to TAR editing: I was rewatching the Lithuania leg of TAR12 when I noticed something about Nate/Jen's opening confessional - it's pitch black (whereas many of the others were still in the daylight, presumably after checking in) - they managed to take a piece of N/J's closing confessional from Osaka and put it in 4 episodes early. Granted, it didn't make a difference since they complained about not being first, but still. I found it interesting.

OMG! TAR1 = Survivor Guatemala! It was the tale of how Frank/Margarita/StepheMeh lost, with little attention paid to Rob/Brennan/Danni. Also found throughout the season were the complex/gay Guido/Rafe, the colorful Kevin/Drew/Judd, crazy person Karyn/Jaime, etc etc.

His noticeable reactions were: - no Guido hate - extreme Lenny hate - Frat + Emily appreciation TAR edgic is always about how the complicated teams lose. On Survivor, CP > OTT/MOR, while TAR is exactly the opposite. They all fit that pattern except maybe TAR9 and TAR10.

Way to work as a team, those two. And I'm certainly going with the double-N. it's the only time there have been multiple teams in a confessional, and it was all pointing out the disgusting (picture this in a Mirnish accent) of the Guidos. (winners list is still unchanged - Frank/Marg 1st, Rob/Brennan 2nd, Nancy/Emily a somewhat distant 3rd.
