PREDICTED WINNER - DAVID COOK - ANALYSIS BELOW

Welcome to the Bettorsworld.com American Idol Predictions page for season 7 of American Idol. We have once again made it to the finale with several correct predictions along the way. For the big final show, we step up our prediction process. We include more polls and resources than usual, thus making our selections all the more accurate. This year should be more exciting than recent years because the vote will be so close. David Archuleta and David Cook truly are the top two contestants.

Each year that betting on American Idol has been offered by the sportsbooks we have shown a profit. One of our most profitable wagers ever was the year Taylor Hicks won. Truthfully, in a sportsbetting career of 25+ years, the Taylor Hicks wager was one of the easiest wagers we have ever made. We hope the odds fir this years final two present us with a similar opportunity.

We'll post our prediction and analysis the day after the performances this week by 5 pm est. We use a variety of methods and tools to come up with our predictions, such as Dial Idol, as well as some lesser known but equally as accurate polling. We also rely heavily on our own opinions as well as those of family and friends of all ages. Hey, it's worked very well so far! As mentioned above, for the finale, we will work extra hard in coming up with our winning opinions.

When handicapping American Idol you need to take into account more than just how well the contestants perform on any given night. There are many outside factors that come into play. For example, you need to handicap the voting public as well as the contestants. It's safe to say not too many 40+ year old viewers are picking up the phone and voting for their favorites. At the same time, it is safe to say that just about every 13 and 14 year old girl in America is voting like crazy.

You also need to take into account the geographical implications. Historically, the South is a hot bed for American Idol voting and they support contestants from their neck of the woods.

Drum roll please........our official prediction on the winner of American Idol season 7, 2008 is................David Cook. As hard as the judges tried to narrow the gap, it looks as though all they were able to do was make the vote closer. Remember, going in to last nights performances, Cook had a lead. The judges tried their hardest to sway the vote, but it looks as though Cook pulled it out.

All of the polls with one exception, agree with us. The only poll that said otherwise, was a poll put out by the Ellen Degeneres show. In that poll, 6000 people voted and Archuleta had a 500 vote lead.

But the heavyweight polls, including Dial Idol all point towards David Cook. Likewise, tons of the smaller polls we have monitored for the finale, including the AOL users poll, all have David Cook winning.

Furthermore, the betting odds currently have Cook as a better than -230 favorite to win and it's climbing. You can wager right now on this at bookmaker.com as well as sportsbook.com

Our research is a sampling of the voting public. Nothing scientific. Certainly no guarantees. However, we haven't missed one yet. All indicators point towards David Cook in what they will probably call the closing voting results for a final in the history of the show.
