Not that I don't find delight in either, of course, but neither can stand up to, say, arrogant fucktard Ozzy getting blindsided or Jason/Erik getting booted because of their sheer stupidity.

Survivor has gone up against American Idol from time to time and has retained most of its viewers. I don't think that Moment of Truth or Hell's Kitchen will have any impact. What is a concern is that even though Survivor Micronesia is considered to be a good season, it still, on average, had about 1.5 million fewer viewers than Fiji which was not a good season. Yes, viewership is declining for most shows but if the erosion doesn't stabilize it will be easier for CBS to replace it with something new that initially draws more viewers/

That will make me mad if Fox gets this shit-eating grin on their faces thinking they took down Survivor. Is it fox who has America is dumber than a 5th grader? Except AI, I think every reality/game show on Fox is just a vapid waste of time. They'll answer like 1 question in every segment and spoil the results in every preview.

But to put one of my favorite non-Survivor reality shows, HK (in fact probably my third fave after Survivor & BB) on at the same time?! But seriously, why is it such a bad idea to move Survivor to Thursday at 9? I've thought they should do this for a long time. CSI lead-in = GOOD. Grey's Anatomy would destroy it. Besides, it's remained in a consistent timeslot for so long now and 8:00 is considered the "family hour" so moving it would alienate part of the audience.

Fox's arrogance in this whole thing is what really ticks me off. They didn't say they were trying to cause Survivor's demise, they said they were trying to accelerate it, insinuating that the show is already dying. Fox WISHES they had a show that could make it to 16 seasons and still get the kind of numbers that Survivor gets. Maybe Fox is still pissed that their Survivor knock-off "Boot Camp" never caught on.

It was actually fairly entertaining but, if you cut out all the dramatic zooms over ominous music and the recap's of what just happened before the commercial and the pre-commercial previews of what's coming up in 2 minutes, the show was actually only 7 minutes long. Other than sports, I have no idea how people watch live TV. I go to homes where they don't have DVR's and I find myself looking for the remote to fast forward the commercials (and I grew up in an age when you had to turn the channel on the TV itself.)
