Better:
Jenna M. (She was a sympathetic character) Richard (He was funny and likable) Jerri (A lot more funny and likable) Shii Ann (She got her moment in the sun with that immunity win) Rob M. (Much more dominant) Jonathan (An extreme fan) Eliza (Hilarious to watch) Same: Tina (Not around long enough to judge) Rudy (See Tina) Colby (Not really any different) Ethan (Not a whole lot different) Kathy (She was kinda meh this season) Tom (Not different from the previous time) Bobby Jon (He was equally likable both times) Yau-Man (Didn't do much this time around) James (He really wasn't any different) Cirie (She was already high on the list and she was the same genius both times) Parvati (Bitchy, but still a great winner) Worse: Rob C. (He didn't have fun the second time) Sue (Such a strong woman acting like a pussy feminist) Lex (Hypocritical asshole) Alicia (Bitchy and self-entitled) Rupert (He just wasn't as lovable) Jenna L. (Much more bitchy) Amber (Didn't deserve to be there and ruined the season with her win) Stephenie (Extremely bitchy and self-entitled) Jonny Fairplay (Quitting pussy) Ami (Crying and begging did not suit her) Ozzy (Self-entitled and arrogant) Amanda (Like Amber, only she didn't win) |

ABout Ethan. I agree with you about Ethan, but the fact that he won Africa is a pretty good indicator that he played better there then on All Stars. Enough of this dumb "rubric",if you win, your entitled to a healthy slice of respect. I think Aras is a much superior player though |

I know he had an injury. That's why he never should have gone into the game to begin with. I'm sure there were at least a half dozen other men that
could've been cast.

True, but he said that rodeo competition reality show he was on was quite strenuous and physically painful and he did fine.Hgh positione overestimated his
abilities, granted. I think in any other scenario though,he would of talked his way to a his way to a high position

Better the 2nd time:
In general, the Africa boys for it was nice to see them in a water challenge for once. Ethan - more proactive in strategy Jerri - shown to have a weak side but immediately turning back to the femme fatale once the storm was over (on the reunion, she was worse) Rupert - didn't annoy me as much and he came out stupid cos of the shelter Jenna L. - early strategizing Rudy - though his stint was short-lived, he still cracked me up Rob M. - he was my fave in S4 and he was shown to be a hardcore player with power on his side Amber - less sheeping around Shii Ann - winning the IC and had a very nice jury performance Jenna M. - she looked very down to earth and really endearing to people outside of the cute girls (granted she wasn't with any, but it was a breath of fresh air) Penner - was more godlier that time around Parvati - not any more the flirt Eliza - need I say more? Cirie - good before, whoa! this time Same: Tina Richard Tom James Yau-Man - he's still in the same edit as Fiji. Idols and stuff. Amanda - same old game Bobby Jon - same authenticity and still working hard Colby Worse: Jonny Fairplay - he wasted the spot. I think he just wanted to redeem himself, I dunno. Kathy - was more emotional and was sucked in to Lex's core of hatred Stephenie - from Palauan sweetheart to Guatemala's hongry bitch Ozzy - I thought he was fake Lex - ugh Sue - nuff said Alicia - her jury reactions made me wanna gag myself Ami - not hate, but disappointed she didn't do better (she's my fave) Rob C - he rehearsed his confessionals I think |

Better:
Tina (what CR said) Jenna M (hated her in Amazon) Rich (hated him in Borneo but warmed up to him before ASS--but I loved his carefree attitude towards the game and wish more returning players were like that) Colby (loved his infatuation with Hatch; I've never been a huge Colby fan but I like him more after ASS) Ethan (where did this hysterical hardcore player come from?) Shii Ann (loved her in both seasons) Ozzy (so much more entertaining) James (didn't feel like he was so much of a forced person to root for this time) Amanda (hated her in all but 2 or 3 episodes of China but after the hidden idol move, I retroactively began to love her and rooted for her) Same: Rudy (was never really gonna change my mind on him) Amber (never bothered me either time but I never particularly rooted for her) Bobby Jon (didn't change a bit) Fairplay (still amusing; one more episode of Fairplay was better than a whole season of Shane) Yau-man (didn't really do anything in Micronesia) Jonathan (still a great character but didn't make as much of an impact) Ami (completely different but her portrayal in both seasons complement each other sort of) Eliza (always loved her) Cirie (didn't like her as much early on but she proved to be awesome once again by the end of the season) Parvati (played a great game but didn't turn me into a fan) Worse: Rob C (bought into the "best player never to win" hype and was no longer that charming goofball from Amazon) Sue (ugh) Jerri (lost her edge) Lex (awesome guy, but never a big fan of him post-merge on either season) Kathy (I still liked her but I love the transformation story in Marquesas so much that it felt unnatural having her come in on such a respected platform) Alicia (ugh) Tom (had his moments but for the most part, wasn't nearly as much fun) Rupert (it just became overkill) Jenna L (ugh) Boston Rob (so much more fun when he's the underdog) Stephenie (although she was a better character in Guat) |

I don't think fairplay wanted to "reddem" himself(what does that even mean to "redeem" yourself? To appeal to the casual audience?) If
he had been on at any other time in his life but this, he'd be the same old Jonny. We just caught him in a transistional period

I noticed that most people that watched All Stars who hadn't seen the bulk of the previous seasons were pretty happy with the outcome and thought Boston
Rob was some mastermind...guess if you don't know how people did the first time around, you wouldn't see the season as being totally unfair or the
biggest characters leaving early, etc.

Ive seen every episode of every season(except for China I think) multiple times, and I thought Boston Rob was a great player.I hate to sound like a broken
record, but he was in an impossible situation

ABout Ethan. I agree with you about Ethan, but the fact that he won Africa is a pretty good indicator that he played better there then on All Stars. Enough of this dumb "rubric",if you win, your entitled to a healthy slice of respect. I think Aras is a much superior player thoughWe just have different criteria then. Ethan in Africa was a coat-tail rider, and only won because his alliance got the majority and that's when he cashed in on his incredible social game. But strategically, he was nothing. He even wanted to have a vote thrown at Kim P. the night Kelly was voted off. What?? All*Stars Ethan didn't sit back, but actively strategized, maybe because he had no choice, but he did it well. It's just that his previous win was too much to overcome, but "rubric" wise, Ethan did a lot better with gaming in All*Stars. He had social AND strategic, not just social. |

But you can make the exact same case for Ozzy. In turn, I think Ozzy is a better overall player than Ethan.

Liked Better Second Time Around:
Jenna M Richard H Shii Ann Ozzy James Amanda [Although she was much better in China but my love for her continues to grow. 78 days. No votes against her. How can it not?] Parvati [Not a big improvement on last time, but she definitely played better this time around.] Ami [Huge improvement] Eliza Yau-man [<3] Jonathan Liked/Disliked the Same: Colby Ethan Amber [Still overrated] Fairplay Cirie Alicia Disliked Second Time Around: Bobby Jon Rob C Sue Jerri Lex Kathy Tom Rupert [HATE] Jenna L Rob M Stephanie [HATE] |

All Stars:
Like more: Hatch Like less: Sue, Jenna L. Same: everybody else. Micronesia: Like more: Jonathan, James, Ami, Eliza Like less: Cirie (used to love her), Amanda Same: everybody else. |

Liked More: None
Same: All but one. I don't judge people on their edit. Liked Less: Sue: I think she came on the show only to be the drama queen. She was playing to win at least in Borneo. Now, if you ask me who played better, the same or worse, that's a different story. I wouldn't want to hijack the thread. |

Ozzy had a strange arc - from zero (thowing IC to boot Billy) to hero at the end of Cooks and the beginning of Micronesia, to zero again as blindsided fool and
bitetr juror. He peaked in ep,4 finding the idol.
Ami was the biggest Micronesia disappontment - couldn't figure out where her head was at in terms of strategy. She got overshadowed by Jonathan, Eliza, and Cirie. |
