well, its common sense on All Winners Edition that Tina and Sandra will probably be the first two to go cause they sucked in challenges.
then they'll get rid of Tom before it hits 10 people or something.

The only thing I dread about this is that you just know they'll depart from the integrity of the all winners concept and try to appease the usual bandwagons. If Rupert, Morono, or Stephenie are there, I'm not watching it. |

SwineForkbeard wrote: According to Eliza, there will never be an all winners edition and I can see why. There is no way that CBS would ever agree to allow the convict Richard Hatch to appear on what is supposed to be a family-oriented show. Some of the female winners such as Danni and Parvati have no interest in doing Survivor again. Survivor has at most 4 seasons left and unless a future season has a breakout star (ala Rupert or Stephenie), Fans vs. Favorites will be the last edition to feature returning contestants. |

Eliza didn't say it wouldn't happen, only that she couldn't see it happening. Which is probably wishful thinking on her part, because she would be
excluded. They would let Hatch on just because he's good TV, and any winner's edition would be a joke if he isn't there. The controversy would be
in giving him a chance to win more prize money, so he might have to agree to do it for free or donate his winnings to charity. If Danni and Parvati don't
want to do it, the project can go ahead without them. There will be more than enough winners by then to make up for any omissions, and I don't need to see
them again anyway.

The only thing that worries me about a Winners Edition is if they'd try for an equal gender balance. If they did, then they'd like....need a few more
female winners and they'd probably try to get Danni/Parvati with appearance fees until one/both of them caved, lol. If gender balance isn't an issue,
then hey, shouldn't be a problem. I mean...we can assume Todd/Jenna/Sandra/Chris would do it again?

Jenna has said in her most recent love thread here in LTS she wouldn't participate in all-stars but she would go if it was all-winners'.

Hmm an all winners edition could be good but awfully boring as well..
1. Hatch - good 2. Tina - good 3. Ethan - boring 4. Vecepia - Boring 5. Brian - Good 6. Jenna - Okay 7. Sandra - Good 8. Amber - Oh Please No 9. Chris - boring 10. Tom - Good 11. Danni - Boring 12. Aras - Boring 13. Yul - Good (strategy wise) but boring 14. Earl - same as Yul 15. Todd - Good 16. Parvati - Good |

Chris boring? I think not. Even if he might be in a similar boat as Tina.

why would richard come back to survivor? hes bringing his case against them to the supreme court. i doubt they can make amends after that. the only thing i can
think of is rep[lacing him with kelly, who said she wouldnt come back. then that leaves rudy, who already came back, followed by susan who already came back,
sean who noone likes, colleen who made a point to say shed never come back. so gervase could represent the first season i guess.

Hmmm not Gervase though, he probably had another daughter.
Not Greg because he got into rehab. Not Gretchen because she's dead. So DIRK! |

SwineForkbeard wrote: The point is Richard Hatch has implicated CBS and Mark Burnett productions for his not paying his taxes on his winnings. His claim is that the network had agreed to pay the taxes on his Borneo winnings as hush money in return for keeping quiet about Survivor production giving food to one of the Borneo contestants. I don't see CBS having Hatch on again when he has implied that the outcome of the show is rigged and may file a lawsuit against the network. Unfortunately, if they do bring back returning contestants for the final season, it will be all about ratings, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Rupert, Stephenie, Romber, Ozzmanda, Yau-man and James Clement back for a third time. I don't see Survivor lasting more than 4 more seasons. Part of the reason that the ratings are eroding is because viewers are sick and tired of the beach/Tropical Island settings which have been done to death as well as the gimmicky twists that are introduced to try to make those seasons unique (Exile Island, ethnic based tribes, haves vs. have nots, fans vs. favorites). Burnett & Company will need to scout out different kinds of locations that viewers haven't seen before to maintain any interest in the show. The only seasons to have an increase in ratings out of the last 5 was Survivor China which was the only one of the last 5 not to have an island setting. The location of S17 will probably be in Africa (eg. Madagascar). I'd like to see Sri Lanka for S18 or S19. |

I think an all-winners edition would be a great chance to finally have a "one tribe twist," which you know the producers would love, if only for the
chance to let Tom go on another immunity run and stay long.

tullfan2 wrote: sorry for straying off topic, but i just wanted to point out the fact that it is highly unlikely they would have survivor in madagascar. i was there a few
months ago for field studies on a family of lemurs. first of all, the place is relatively small in terms of the amount of protected land they would never be
allowed to cut down to build challenges, etc... aside from that there are ctually a lot of people who live there, almost all of them are farmers and they
themselves are threatening the animals there (lemurs dont exist anywhere else in the world). ive heard a lot of people say they think theyre going to
madagascar but i just dont see it happening.

Personally I think a winners edition would be a perfect ending for Survivor. Hopefully there will be 20 survivor seasons and then the 21 will be a winners
edition.

They won't have a winners edition. Too many of them will chicken out. Brian, Tom, Danni, and Parvati have turned it down already or said they
wouldn't do it again

I doubt that. Those mediawhores who say they wouldn't do it again are like a bunch of alkies who say they'll never take another drink. Once the
futile aspirations of stardom dry up and MB starts dangling that carrot a few years from now, they'll be there. Why turn down a chance to win more prize
money, get their mugs back on TV, and have a shot at being the only 2 time winner and the ultimate bragging rights?
