While I have not had implants, I know a couple of my friends who have. (Why, I cannot figure, as they were already just fine, but let's not digress). They did not lose sensitivity around the nipple, as the surgery does not affect that part of the breast.

I also have a friend (and believe it or not, all these girls are nurses) who had a boob lift. In that surgery, you do lose feeling in the nipple cause the surgeon actually cuts around your areola and moves the whole thing to a new location. Sounds horrible, but my friend that had it done says it's the best thing she's ever done. But then again, considering one of her kids had recently committed suicide and she was currently going through a divorce, that's probably not saying too much.
