Well, I know perjury is a crime, but really this should never have gotten to that. There is no reason for a baseball player to be testifying about steroid use in front of congress. Baseball should have been handling this. That's the problem, not that they are prosecuting for perjury.

I think Bonds is a hugs scumbag, and I didn't think baseball should have allowed him to continue and get the home run record, and I don't think he should be allowed to play, but congress should never have been having a hearing on this. Why don't they start having hearings on every person who has used illegal drugs? That would at least keep them from raising taxes for meaningless crap, I guess.

No argument there. It shouldn't have ended up in a congressional hearing. Talk about a waste of time/resources Although in Clemens' case, the jerk insisted congress get involved, so I kinda hope he burns for it.
