Posts: 13454 (07/14/08 3:22 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	If you believe they were planning a F2 with 8 jurors all along, that implies either a surprise double-boot episode late in the game or a triple boot finale (count the days and do the math). They've never done either and it would be very rushed. However, it's bad TV when when someone leaves early in an episode and there is no TC (see Sue and Bruce departures). To avoid that, I can see putting in the stipulation that they play out ICs to F2 if someone leaves postmerge. Cancelling an IC can be just as much of a twist. Terry got a free pass at F7 when Bruce left, the episode he was exiled. Nobody has even won immunity after being sent to exile island. Perhaps the one IC not designed to favour a strong male got cancelled, changing the outcome ever more radically than the move to F2 did in Micronesia. Last Edited By: craig 07/14/08 3:28 PM. Maybe I'm forgetting that Jonathan seems to get along with and respect smart girls, while some of the guys with more muscles than brains are threateneed by them.

That's pretty remarkable luck. Yes, and you can argue that had any one of the five people who left in unusual circumstances not done so, Parvati would have been toast. Chet staying would likely have meant a win for the fans; the effect of Kathy staying is more debatable but there is evidence that, had she stayed and allied with Eliza (& ????), things may have been different also. What if NuAirai wins that 1 reward challenge, and Kathy gets to go to the spa instead of spending the night in that cave? What if Eliza found out a few hours earlier that it's just fucking stick and is able to work some magic? What if Nat and Cirie decided to take Amanda out at F5 anyway? What if Jason says no to that deal giving Parv immunity but she stills wins anyway, Ozzy feals less a secure and plays the HII? Everything lined up for Parv the right way, but there are alot of other potential winners.

For example, the switrch had to go just so for all 5 members of the Couples alliance to make the merge and have a majority. Parvati had crazy good luck, but she also was a skillful player who took advantage of every opening. Fairplay quitting was a break - but she had to get Cirie on her side. Jonathan's injury was a break - but she still had to persuade Nat and Alexis to side with her over Eliza and Jason * James' injury causing a F2 was a break - but it could have been a break for the fans if Alexis hadn't exiled Amanda, or if Erik hadn't given up the necklace. I'm sure Joe DiMaggio needed crazy good luck to have that 56 game hitting streak, but he also had to be a great batter. What if Eliza found out a few hours earlier that it's just fucking stick and is able to work some magic? That's like saying "what if Jason was smarter?" If Adam was smarter around the merge in Cook Islands, Parv might have won. What if Jason says no to that deal giving Parv immunity but she stills wins anyway, Ozzy feals less a secure and plays the HII? Everything lined up for Parv the right way, but there are alot of other potential winners. Parv did a lot to make her luck by holding her arm up for 6 hours while the other girls quit for food. Kudos to Nat for offering the deal. Yes, the Ozzy blindside was more risky if Jason won immunity because any other target (Alexis?) would be controversial. Just thought of another. Parv and Amanda target Nat instead of Alexis. On the next show, there's really no way Alexis can do what Nat did, she really has a gift of making guys do dumb things. The reason gimpy Alexis was targeted at F6 was that Parv worked to persaude Amanda, who at one point was saying "if you don't want to vote for Nat, why don't you just vote for me." But from a Survivor viewer point of view... the whole alliance btwn you/Ami/Jonathan/Yau-Man was just doomed from the very begining. I mean, the four of you might be the smarter people of the 10 in the Malakal tribe. So why would you allign yourself with them??? It just doesn't make sense to go and allign ur self with people who could easily beat u at the final tribal council. Not that u couldn't beat them... but isnt it better for u to go with people who u thought mite not play the game well (like Parvati, etc) and take them to the end. I don't know if I conveyed my thoughts cleary, but what I am trying to say is that it would be way tougher to beat a Yau-Man or an Ami rather than beating a Parvati or an Amanda... So in the end- didnt Cirie really pick the right group of people to allign herself with... Your thoughts???

So yes, I can say that she got along well with Eliza, as she lobbied hard so that Eliza would stay over Yau Man. However, when she saw Ami cast a vote for her despite spending ages trying to persuade the couples to let Ami into the alliance and spare her as well, she didn't trust her anymore and working together with anyone of JAYE was impossible for Cirie anymore.

That's actually a MUCH more complicated situation that it appears. Ami said that because Ami was trying to get the couples alliance to split their vote. She would tell them that she'd vote for me, but really she would still vote for Parvati (with me, Yau, and Jonathan) and then Ozzy and James would vote me and so would Parvati, and Amanda and Cirie would still vote Yau, but they would have enough to get rid of me so it wouldn't matter what Cirie did. That's why you heard me make the comment "they're not stupid enough to go to tribal with their vote split." Remember? Anyhow, Ami did earn back Cirie's trust after we explained to her what we were doing, but she actually wanted Yau gone so we couldn't let her in on that plan. Only Ami, JP, YM, and I knew about it.
