I image most of the Faves were either liberal (Jonathan, Cirie, Parvati) or apolitical (Amanda). Eliza, were you thinking about Sarge when you went to Iraq? Learn anything that affected your view of the war? Did you go to Afghanistan too?

Agreed re: Sarge vs. Scout, but in general I think when I see eye to eye with someone politically, it enables me to get along with them better. When people are "apolitical" as you call it, or socially disengaged as I like to call it, I have difficulty connecting with them at all because I think being involved in politics, or at least aware of the issues is so important! I don't know if this has been discussed, but there was a LOT more to my final tribal speech than was shown during the finale. I asked the two girls a number of questions, including: "As you may or may not know, I'm extremely politically active and something I think is very important is being socially aware. Therefore, please name ANY three candidates running for President of the US right now." (At the time there were at least 15 to choose from). Neither could do it. I actually only went to Afghanistan. We didn't go to Iraq, but yes, I thought about Sarge the whole time. I am someone who is very anti-war, but being there and seeing the amazing hospitals they've built on the bases really did have an impact on me. They are training Afghani doctors and they have clinics that are open to locals to come in on certain days to seek medical care, so they are certainly doing some good over there.

I saw the Parv/Ozzy and Amanda/James foursome coming before the game even began.

In ep 3, the opening scene with Malakal showed the showmance alliance pull you aside and the 5 of you were talking... they talked about booting Yau, then Jonathan, then Cirie and said Yau/Cirie were very weak. Why didn't you tell Cirie exactly what they said? Or did you and she didn't care?

I did, but at that point she was so against Jonathan and Yau-Man that she didn't care because she figured I was making it up. I think you saw me telling them the next morning actually what they had said to me, but everyone else knew they were talking about getting rid of me so they figured they were just saying that to ME and didn't mean it. No one believes anything anyone says. I think Twila was pretty close to getting on but was cut last minute. Same goes for Yul, Terry, and Courtney Marit. I think Courtney Yates and Tom Westman and Ian all said no.

(the pics I posted of you were from there). In Canada we hear a lot more about Afghanistan than Iraq because their are Cnadian troops there. Our previous Liberal govt. agreed to a mission there because it diagreed with the invasion of Iraq. Do see any Canadian soldiers during your visit? They are deplayed in the southern Kandahar region, rather than around Kabul.

How did you and the other jurors react to Ozzy's OTT hate for Parv and love for Amanda? Did it influence anyone? Any interesting reactions? Tell us more about that scene you narrated in ep.3 where the Couples Alliance got you to hang out with them late at night and tried to flip you? Was Parvati behind that? Were you offered the 5th spot in their aliance? Cirie wasn't with them at that point, right? Did Parvati ever try to sell you on an all-girls plan postmerge if you worked with her and Amanda?

I don't know that we met any Canadians, though.

I certainly wouldn't have called us friends, but we were friendly. We hated each other, well actually I HATED him at the Vanuatu finale, but then we met at Cocoa beach the previous summer and kind of made up in a way. I found him to be somewhat tolerable to be around and actually pretty funny. So that's what I mean by "friendly."
