Two questions about how things work before challenges:

You said earlier that the challenge descriptions from Jeff that we hear aren't really voice-overs recorded later usually, but done live. But do they walk you through a challenge before you run it? Like if it's a long course can you go take a look at it all (if there's not like secret puzzle components they don't want you to see)? Or is it as simple as, like you said, Jeff explains it like we hear him, you huddle briefly if it's a team challenge, and then you start?

On a related note, and I imagine others have answered this in the past, but does someone tell the tribe when there's tree mail? Or do you guys just go check it regularly? And how much notice do they give you for challenges? I was imagining what if a challenge came a day earlier than you'd expect and no one checked tree mail and you just missed it entirely. :lol Not that you have watches, so could they really say "be ready in two hours," or "you have to leave by 3 p.m."?

That's correct. The challenge descriptions you hear are the same ones we hear, but then we're given the opportunity to walk through the course and ask questions. We can't see secret puzzles that are revealed during the challenge, but we are told what to expect and how it will work.

We are told to check tree mail. The amount of notice we get for challenges varies, but we're usually told when we get tree mail how much time we have (sometimes it's 2 hours, sometimes it's 20 minutes or NOW!). We couldn't ever miss it! :)

Eliza, several of us thought Ami's post-show interviews were weird, especially since they conflicted so much with what we saw on the show.

Do you think she was really as loyal to the favourites (Ozzy, Amanda, etc) as she said post show? Because several scenes in the shwo didn't make sense if she was loyal to them.

I'm really not sure. I will have to ask her to find out the real scoop. I will try to direct her to the site to come post but don't know if she will. I think she would have been loyal to me, for sure, and beyond that I don't know.
