I think it's more wanting to be friends with the popular alpha male. It's all very high school, someone who can't believe they're liked and accepted. That they showed this scene in Insider, not in the episode, makes me wonder if that side of Charlie's personality in the game is going to be downplayed from now on, or take a backseat.

Look at Will\Boogie, Adam\Ryan, and Dan\Memphis. They were so tight, might as well as been gay showmances the way the played. Last season, Erik's thing for Ozzy and Natalie's thing for Parvati actually helped their game. They were rewarded for being good allies - Ozzy and Parv were responsible for keeping them over Ami and Alexis respectively). From an editing perspective, the depth of bonds that effect the endgame are often kept hidden (like Colby's thing for Tina, Sundra's thing for Yul, and Natalie's thing Parv). The Everybody Loves Ozzy theme in S16 was a prelude for his downfall, and part of the reason Parv\Cirie booted him. The Everybody Loves Steph theme in S11 resulted in a jury backlash even though she made F2. Gabon has an Everybody Loves Marcus theme. We've seen so much of it, perhaps he ends up like Ozzy or Steph.

The interesting part with this season's Everybody loves Marcus theme is that they only showed Charlie in love with him. Not Jacque, Corinne or Paloma. Just Charlie.

You might have already answered this, so if anyone knows the answer please answer: In Vanuatu, when all of the girls were planning on voting out Chris at the final 7, what exactly was your strategy. Because it seemed pretty obvious you would be the next to go at the final 6, so what was you train of thought at this point? Were you hoping Ami/Leanne/Julie would go after Scout and Twila?
