I recommended him because I thought he would be amazing and knew how much he loved the show, and then he had to go through everything I went through in terms of finals and he got himself on the show!Isn't that how it usually works when casting associates recruit someone? They get a recommendation and are treated as finalists, but still have to compete with others and go through interviews, tests, etc. Nobody goes directly on Survivor on the word of one casting agent.

at least he's a big fan. but I still feel bad for the people who apply 16 times and never even get a call. I'd at least like to see someone on the show
like Gillian, who applies time and time again rather than someone who just assume's you have the same chances as winning the lottery.

A large percentage of the casts have been recruited or referred by employees or castaways for years now...why the sudden surprise?? Real people don't get opportunities in life...come on now... |

He just equates applying to the show to playing the lottery, an essentially pointless task, and thus never applied.That's a good analogy and a reasonable assessment, especially for a busy person with a law career. |

Eliza, what do you really think of Erika Shay and the casting process? Did you whore Charlie out to her? No doubt Parvati's little friend Michelle was plucked from the boxing clique. I wonder how many of those chicks will end up on a show before its over. First Parv, then Nessa on Pirate Master, and now we get another "boxer" on Survivor. SO original.

So Eliza "suggested" Charlie to casting.
She has only used her time here to make herself feel popular and whore herself out. It no wonder that she made her own topic the instant Micronesia ended. She couldn't wait for her time in the spotlight. Probst was right: Eliza only did Survivor so she could get on tv and have her speedy 15 minutes. |
