It's his dry sense of humor. As one with a dry sense of humor, not everyone 'gets' the jokes right away or if at all. Re Jason: my two kids (ages 6 and 9) disliked him right away for his rudeness. Kids know BS when they see it.

Did Jason refuse to sleep with Chet because of Chet's HIV+ status, or because he was not attracted to Chet? Where the hell did THIS rumor come from? They are given medical exams and there is no way someone who is HIV+ would be allowed on this show, with all of the bleeding they do, geez.
