do you use treats & praise to reward him when he does do it outside?
murphy did this too- was fully trained and pretty reliable, then tested my mom several times by going in the house. it's a dominance thing. you can't get mad at him either, it doesn't help. just start making him sit/stay before you feed him, before he goes out the door.. all the time, basically. he has to learn that nothing is for free, and then he'll start to behave. also, never ever get down to his eye level. stand right in front of him being as imposing as you can. |

no to the shock collar
this part is hard and a little sad, but less cuddle and play time helps a lot at this age too. cuddles and playtime should be a reward only right now. he will want your attention again so he will start to behave, I promise. |

I know... There are times I WISH I had a shock collar.... But I've actually found that crate training works best. Immediately outside and treats (charlie
bears) and praise and soon as he goes out side.

He hurt his leg at the dog park. Basically, in his crate most of the time; no outside except to go to the bathroom. Its been horrible.
