IDOL CHATTER: Dreamgirls' Jennifer Hudson makes her first post-Oscar movie appearance later this month, playing Carrie's assistant in the movie of
Sex And The City. It's not exactly method acting -- "I'm far from organized. You would never want me for your assistant," she says. Seems she
tried switching jobs with her own assistant for a bit, "and it did not go well."
At about the same time, you'll be seeing her in the two-day finale of American Idol, the show that gave birth to her career. Hudson, who releases her debut album from producer Clive Davis in September, just may sing a song that night, but all she'll say for sure is that she'll be there. "Every year, I go to the finale."
Yes, she's watching, and she has a favourite wannabe Idol. "I do have my pick and he's David Archuleta," she says of the pint-sized singer. "I'm a fan, I'm a fan! He's very talented."
