I loved it. I thought it was great. A wonderful introductory chapter for the finale. It makes me think that the two hours we're going to get in two weeks is going to blow us away.

The episode moved right along, didn't it? The landing from the cargo plane was really touching. The musical score throughout felt a lot different to me....like someone new was in charge of the score. I loved it when Jack was initially hugging his mother and he looked at her and said "Mama"...(under the music). I liked it when the sat phone in monitor mode has a globe rotating in shades of blue, not unlike STH's avatar. Aaron's blanket was a blue gingham, just like Dorothy from Kansas' dress. The storm closest to those dates was Tropical Cyclone Raymond which, though not itself coming near Sumba, could certainly have affected the weather around it, or at least plausibly enough to satisfy the press. - Aaron's age is given as five weeks at the press conference, assumed to be a few days after rescue, so the second or third week of January 2005. This means the O6 is claiming Aaron was born in early December, a good five or six weeks after his actual birth date of 1 November. - At Christian's memorial service Jack states he was in Sydney airport "ten months ago", placing the scene in July 2005, four months after rescue. This was the same month as Sun's FF, and she is indeed not present at the service (Hurley is but that means nothing). - Sun's and Hurley's segments are not dated; we don't know when Hurley's birthday is, so we can only assume it's a reasonably short time after rescue but long enough that Sayid is comfortable with Nadia. Sun's would have had to have been long enough for her to get her financial settlement worked out and be able to buy out Paik Industries.

When asked how he died at the press conference, Sun paused a moment and very deliberately stated that he died on the plane. If I had to leave my husband on the island there's no way I would say he died there as a cover story - would feel like I was tempting fate or something. I also thought Jack might know that Christian is alive (if he is alive and not some ghost or projection, that is). After the memorial service Kate told him he handled it well and he said he'd had practice. I took that to mean that he'd had practice lying. I feel less confident about this theory, though. Did Hurley hear island whispers as he walked through his place?

The only reason they were on any flight at all was because Jin was doing Papa's dirty work with delivering the watch. Once I let it set in my head that this was all going to be build up, putting the piece on various parts of the 'board' I was fie with it. Loved, loved, loved all the flashforward stuff. The getting off the plane moment was spectacular and I loved that they had almost all the flashback family members there. I was kinda hoping Kate's mom would be the but obviously so was Kate. The Orchid Station stuff looks like it's going to be great. Ben's "I always have a plan!" = perfection. Argh, two weeks!

I liked seeing them rescued and am constantly trying to figure out how this group ended up together as the rescuees. Poor Hurley, that surprise party was not a great idea for a mentally unstable man who just survived a horrific ordeal. Noboby came to meet Kate when they arrived home? Won't her mother wonder about the baby? By the way, that baby looks like a 6 month old not a 5 week old. But it's tv so oh well. I didn't notice the rabbit's foot on Hurley's car keychain, but I did notice the rescue plane pilot was holding one. I wonder why they cooked up the fake story of what happened on the island. I freaked. If Desmond dies before seeing Penny again, I will lose it. I am convinced that the two of them are the real-life (not weird Darma/Hostiles/dead people's ghosts-shit that is going on) core of the story line. They HAVE to be reunited. My husband spend the rest of the night laughing at me and calling Des, "Deadman" instead of "Desmond". Urg.

I think when Faraday brings back more suvivors, the explosion occurs and they are the only 3 that get on the little boat. I doubt that everyone else on the island wanted to stay there like Locke, Sawyer and Claire. Juliette may also survive but she will keep that hidden to protect Ben and what was going on at the island. At the press conference, one of the reports was a red haired woman with an English accent - wasn't that the same woman that is on the island? I forget her name, but the bitchy one.
