But this is easily the most excited I've been about a finale since the Tomination in Palau. Sure, Cirie or Amanda is inevitably getting cut here but Kelly Goldsmith is the only player who I would accept a final three for if that's what it would take for her to win. Everyone else...sorry, F2 all the way!

The final three essentially rewards keeping the status quo in a three allience, so theres no incentive to make moves to get ahead. This is easily the best season finale in a long time.

If it really was a fluke, then it makes it all the worse for Cirie.

But Spoilers said that a late game event changed the final 3 to a final 2. But it would have made sense to make that IC a RC, but then why did the jury start with Eliza...?

I am just hoping that they stick with the final 2. It seems that they finally figured out the HII rules. It was way too powerful early on, but they finally fixed it with China and Micronesia.

Internet Fans seem to want the F2 back! Oh, lets do that in a Twist! Then let THE FANS vote to break a tie! It'll be great!". This was planned pre-season for sure.

And it just seems too weird to have 8 jurors with a final 2. I'm pretty sure it was changed mid-season.

Posts: 1258 (05/11/08 10:36 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I think they had so many people leave that they didn't get to do all of the challenges they produced, and thus wasted a bunch of money building challenges they couldn't use, so they made a final 2 so they could use that super long challenge ( notice it had 5 ladders). They also probably knew from China/Outback that a 1 elimination finale is slow and tedious.

I have no idea why they would change it mid-season, but it really seems like they did. Why tell Eliza she is on the jury if they were gonna make it a Final 2? They should have just kept it a Final 3 becuase it made more sense, but I am glad to see the Final 2 back, so I can't complain. It just sucks that the season in which a Final 3 would have produced the best winner, they change it back to a Final 2.

This was planned pre-season for sure. This actually makes a lot of sense. It definitely was preseason. They can mix around challenges, but I believe the basic structure of the game including switches and other twists legally has to be preplanned. Plus, there was no reason to switch whatever the original plan was because James quit anyways.
