Cupcakes! They're a little self contained cake. Plus you can decorate every one differently. And they are cuter. Plus no messy cake slicing knives. And.

But the frosting is all on top of the cupcake. Cake usually has a higher frosting to cake ration AND a more even frosting distribution.

Yes, it's true. I work at a bakery and our cupcakes today had frosting just TOWERING over it, it was rather ridiculous. But delicious of course.

Cake is better. You can eat it smaller bites and get a nice filling-to-cake ratio. As a kid I liked Hostess chocolate cupcakes, but would scoop out the white filling and toss it. |

I find it too hard to eat a cupcake. I want icing and cake in each bite, so that requires me to open my mouth to the height of the cupcake and icing. It's
not an appealing look.
