Kelly is on talk shows and radio overseas right now. The only reason someone might think that she is promoting in the US is because they are constantly lurking on her fanboards.

Carrie didn't promote hers? Isn't winning EOTY award, the new release of ITYS with Randy Travis, and her numerous recent appearances on AI count for something? I think that is a hella more promotion than what Kelly has been doing in the US lately.

Next week Kelly will likely hit 600,000 in sales.

She starts her limited tour in a little over a week with a full out tour in the fall. Letterman and The View in July.

Oh and Kelly mentioned in an interview that the Veronica's will be opening for her on her tour. She also mentioned something about a 3 package tour so that means there may be another big act co-touring with her. Could this be like Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera when they toured together? I wonder who the other big act would be? Of course it could also mean that she will have two smaller openers. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

What other big artist has a recent cd out or coming out this year that would be a viable big act co-touring with Kelly? David Cook? Katy Perry? Pink? Mandy Moore? Doesn't Rob Thomas have a new cd coming out soon? Lots of possibilities if she's doing a co-tour.

Actually, what you meant was that Yelly alone can't sell tickets and she needs other artists help absorb projected losses for her concerts. Also, having others on the bill more interesting thatn her may draw in the crowds. I wonder how many will leave after their sets are over?

Well, you know Pink is going to fill the seats by herself. She does not need someone to help her sale seats but Kelly does.

I recall a lot of Carrie can't headline....etc, etc, or can't do a tour on her own

It's come full circle huh. Carrie headlined after starting with Keith and went on to be EOTY and Kellys with other artists or at a lot of fairs

Ya'll can spin it this way or that way but taking 3 + months to hit 600k in sales and the third single to get it done just says this one is not going to sell big. Imagine if they didn't put the marketting and appearances that shes done for this CD just how bad would it be ?

That was teh excuse for MD that it didn't get promoted properly and they did dump that one I even admit but you can't say that for this CD.

They got the machine behind it big time but it's still selling rather slow

So some hearts was a pop cd then? I do recall hearing before he cheats on KIIS Fm quite often.

What about the attempt to send last name to pop? It got a few spins but flopped pretty badly on pop. So is C.R. a flop pop cd then?

Did a quick and easy google check. Last name actually had an official pop add date of June 17. A few big pop stations played it a few times before dropping it. I can't seem to find where it peaked at on pop.

So there you have it. By shytters standards, both some hearts and carnival ride were pop cd's.

I'm not to familiar with the veronica's music. Should I check them out?

Kelly is still headlining, she's just touring with others just like Carrie did with Josh Turner and Jason Michael Caroll. You also do know that Carrie's limited touring this summer is mostly at fairs and festivals, right?
