Check out his Push Push video and tell me he isn't trying to sound like U2's Bono. I don't think Kurt is trying to sound like Bono, I think he just happens to have some of the same beautiful vocal qualities of Bono. He does easily the greatest covers of U2 songs I've ever seen because of this but he also has his own sound and music. He sings a lot higher than Bono most of the time imo and I don't think you can fault him for sounding like someone else. It's not his fault. Should he not sing or share his music just because his voices sounds kind of similiar to another singer?

My impression is that Bono is his idol and, therefore, it is quite natural for him to sound like his idol. It's to the point where it's almost creepy, IMO. He does have a great voice though. I'll give him more listens later, much later.

Kurt doesn't copy any of the styles of music that U2 does or anything like that, his voice just has similarities to Bono's. I think you'd have a vastly different impression of Kurt if you actually listened to any of his original music.

In fact, his voice sounds very different than any other male artist I've heard in recent memory. His voice is amazing. If you listen to all or much of U2's music you won't hear that many similarities either. U2 has 12 studio albums with many different sounds. Bono's voice has lots of different sides to it, it doesn't have just one facet that Kurt has "copied."
