These Thoroughbred Horses are execellently taken care of and have Vets check them out constantly. They have to do this because these horses are worth millions
of dollars.
Maybe I'm just paranoid, but could there be any sabatoge going on ?? |

Though it may be harsh, the race horses are bred solely for that purpose. They know no different. They are as Nat57 very well taken care of but I do think that
sometimes the owners / trainers push them a little too hard. There was a champion cross country jumper over here called Nil Desparandum who ran and won two 4
mile chases within a month, but then with only 5 days inbetween his last race they ran him again, you could see he was pretty tired about a quater of the way
round but they still pushed him to go.......evidently he fell and broke his neck. But most of the time they are treated humanely with the utmost respect.

I was at the horse races last summer and SAW horse get it's legs shattered.
They had to put that pony down immediately. Pretty horrible to see. |
