I'm watching the finale now, it's so much more epic in the rain.
Every finale should take place outside in inclement weather. And one more video to show Luke's greatness. He's what Idol is all about, no past albums or being in a band or anything, just a guy on a farm who realized he had a great voice. That is Idol

Last time I checked they called Idol the search for a superstar or some other such shit. No one said you had to find them on a farm. God forbid people make
music before they go on Idol and try to reach their dreams in different ways.
Luke sucks. It would make no difference to me if he came from a farm or a palace, he still shouldn't have been in the Top 2. I'll agree with kenneth, sucking is not what Idol is about. |

For some bizarre reasons, they decided to release Idol Top 10 album this year. As expected, debuting yesterday at No. 96 with 565 copies sold. Only 19 copies were snapped up digitally. WO0

First Big Brother OZ got cut (t.ears) and now OZI looks like it is on the chopping block. Sad, I don't think 1 failed season is reason to chop it down or
for the sponsors to head for the hills. If next year tanks the same then I guess so but its been a solid show. I think it has to do more with the economic
climate, what would once be looked upon for advertisers as a bump in the road is now a mountain. I hope its back next year.

People just seem to be getting sick of Idol, it's a dead horse outside of AI.
Canadian Idol, Australian Idol, same shit, people just aren't into it anymore. Anyone know about the shows in other countries and their popularity or lack there of? |

That being said, I may be wrong about Wes. Wes may actually sell well. But if he doesn't, let's recap some losses Dicko and the producers had made this season
1. Paying Tina Arena and Darren Hayes to held an audition in London, paying plane tickets for contestants that got through to Sydney round. With all that effort, only to discover Sophie who self-destructed every week. 2. Can You Feel It Ad promotion, with Luke not getting any airtime and end up undeservedly in the top 2. 3. Paying celebrities to be guest mentor and judge every week and made them endure mediocre performances. 4. New voting system that rather backfired. Brooke, Roshani, and Chrislyn got screwed by teens' last minute powervoting on the guys. Teale overstaying. 5. Of course, top 10 album selling higher than Carly Smithson's first album!111!one!
6. AU$200,000 on Wes. Wes may release a decent album and sell decently but not sure if the profit in return will also be around AUD$200,000 |

I rate seasons as a whole regardless of how much I liked my favourite contestant.
I love Amberly and she's my favourite Canadian Idol contestant ever and I did love Earl and I think Theo is good but overall Season 6 was all kinds of atrocious. The problem with CI though is that it's best season came too early. CI2 was so amazing that everything since then hasn't been nearly as good in comparison. Taking CI2 out of the equation some of the other seasons aren't that bad, and actually quite good. In any case everything about CI6 was pretty much fucked up and it ruined any momentum or potential it had going in the beginning. I hate CI6 with a seething passion. Melinda is the bomb and one of my Top 2 favourite AI contestants alongside Elliott but Season 6 of AI was also very atrocious. Seriously Blake and Jordin? Seriously? Season 6 of Australian Idol clearly isn't even worthy of discussing. Anyone good got robbed, the Top 2 was laughable. Adore Sophie, but that's about it. Looking at what I just wrote my favourite CI, AI and OzI contestants came from my least favourite seasons of those shows. They entertained me and I adored them but everything aside from them was just bad, and it doesn't help that they were unceremoniously kicked to the curb too early. For me what ruined both of these seasons were was how voting and eliminations went down which ruined the quality of the performances and shows. Honestly Luke, Blake and Mitch lasting until the F2 is fucking laughable. Brooke Adamo going so early was beyond ridiculous, Melinda not making F2 was a joke, an all male Top 5 on CI? Aside from |
