It occurred to me after what a dumbass I am. The bottom 3 thing has always been the people only re-voting on the bottom 3. I don't know what I was smoking
when I asked that. They just did a fake out.

Good riddance Thanh!
I thought that the voting for the bottom 3 thing would backfire because if the bottom 3 all got a lot of votes the 4th person from the bottom could get voted off. That could be entertaining.

That could be entertaining, but it's cruel so I'm glad they aren't doing that. It would be unfair to be safe and then people's rabid fans get
all nutty and then you go home because of it.

Excuse me, but when exactly was it that Jessica Mauboy became INCREDIBLY fuckable? Is she even legal? Smart move leaving the Divas.

I think she recently turned 18.
Scratch that according to Wiki her birthday is August 4th, 1989 so she's actually 19 already. She's been legal for a while. |

great news!
http://au.news.yahoo.com/...ainment...arates-husband/ Idol's Ricki-Lee separates from husband October 17, 2008, 5:33 pm Australian Idol host Ricki-Lee Coulter has separated from her husband Jamie Babbington after just one year of marriage. The pop singer announced the separation in a statement released by her publicist on Friday. "Distance and time apart has been cited as the reason for the marriage breakdown, however the split is of an amicable nature and both Ricki-Lee and Jamie will remain close friends after seven years together," the statement said. "We simply request the media respect our privacy during a difficult and trying time," Coulter and Babbington added. Coulter, who rose to fame as a contestant on Australian Idol in 2004, married childhood sweetheart Babbington in September last year, and the couple shared a home on the Gold Coast. In May this year, she joined Andrew G And James Mathison co-hosting Australian Idol, which is filmed in Sydney |

I had to work somewhere far from where I live today, so I didn't have the chance to watch the show.
but I saw Luke's performance on youtube, oh my god, fucking sucks and bores, but the boring aussies will save him again out of the bottom 3 I saw Mark's as well, a bit funny to watch him doing motown moves. Those are the only two i've watched so far, I heard Roshani had a terrible performance too Although it's MOTOWN night, all of them sang songs from either Diana Ross or the Temptations |

Hated Chrislyn as usual.
Roshitty was actually pretty good this week, to me. Sophie/Teale continued their wonderful performances. Wes got dreadfully boring for me. Like, painfully so. Mark and Luke are just there...though Mark is much better than Luke. At this point.. 7th: Luke 6th: Chrislyn 5th: Wes 4th: Roshitty 3rd: Mark 2nd: Teale 1st: Sophie |

I cannot believe Chrislyn got another touchdown. Neither of her performances were worthy of one. I think her others were though. She'll probably coast to
the finale since she'll be the only female in the final 4, maybe even final 5. That has been the theme of the last few seasons.
I think Sophie's epic run is coming to an end Odds: |

My ranking:
1. Roshani - I was expecting a disaster, it wasn't close at all. I think her strength is when she gets pitchy, she doesn't look nervous or unconvinced 2. Sophie - kudos for not shaky at all vocally. But yeah, David Hernandez was much better though. 3. Wes - I thought he's finally a bit different this week 4. Chrislyn - could have been more exciting, especially from someone like her 5. Teale - bleh 6. Mark - I don't think he and the theme fit well together 7. Luke - ugh |

Oooooh Natalie... Noooooo.
1. Mark - Pretty cheesy. I would love it if he got voted out just so another elimination can get added to that song's list of eliminated contestants! :D 2. Sophie - Isn't this like the 7th time Sophie has gone second this season? Anyways... I liked it! *GASP* I definitely think she has improved as the season has gone on and I don't hate her like I used to. This performance was still stiff as usual, but not at off pitch as usual! Good job! 3. Luke - One of the worst performances in Idol history... and I'm talkin on a world level. 4. Teale - Another performance I would list in the worst performances in Idol history. Two in one night! Australia should feel proud. His outfit made him look fat, too. 5. Chrislyn - WATCH OUT FOR THE BIG GIRL!!!! This was a very solid vocal performance from my beloved hippo girl. It doesn't stand out among her other performances for me, but it's a step in the right direction. Not touchdown-worthy, but really good. 6. Wes - A good vocal performance. Not very exciting... pretty much the same thing he does almost every week... but I liked what he does, so that's ok with me. 7. Roshani - It was going strong until that horrid key change. Lame ending, but not a bad performance. Just ok. Ranking this week: 1. Chrislyn 2. Wes 3. Sophie 4. Roshani 5. Mark 6/7. Teale/Luke Prediction: Bottom 3: Roshani Bottom 2: Sophie Eliminated: Teale My prediction means jack though, cuz it's top 7 week and I'm expecting a huge shocker; hopefully in the form of a Luke elimination! :D Hopefully NOT in the form of a Roshani elimination... |

Sophie is most likely to go but I'd love to see her stick around. It'd be a)funny, and b)I actually think she's really good and I have enjoyed all
of her performances.
I'd like to see her continue to take people out like Mark, Roshani, Chrislyn, Luke and then she can go since she's not going to win. My official prediction though is for Teale to finally go this week. |

So again I just watched Sophie's performance so I think I'm going to catch up on the last 4 weeks now, I don't have anything to do at the moment.
Sophie was great though. What the fuck was wrong with her vocals for the first few weeks, the last 2 weeks she's sung wonderfully with no shaking. Perhaps working with a vocal coach is really helping her. I'm impressed. I always loved her voice but recognized her technical flaws but she's been absolutely excellent for 2 weeks now. She doesn't deserve to be bottom 3 again but I'm sure she will be, I'm thinking bottom 3 with Teale again, and something else bottom 2 with him. |

Triple post but I thought I'd actually post my opinions on this week's performances and then go back and just watch the last 3 weeks.
Mark - WTF? I just don't like this guy and I dunno, I thought it was a fucking weird song choice for him. I just hate how he performs and I don't like his voice. Go home. Sophie - I already commented but yeah I thought it was great. I love Sophie. It's too bad she's been in the bottom so much, it's too late to make a come back and win imo because people will always hold that against her. I still think coming from London is hurting her too. Luke - "My Girl" really? It's just not believable for me. I honestly have no idea how this guy is still in the competition and is one of the people who hasn't been bottom 3 no less. I didn't like it. Go home. Teale - Awesome. In the beginning he was kind of safe and I could see how people might find him boring. His performance was really great though and really fun. Plus he has a really awesome voice and sang really well. I really enjoyed it. Chrislyn - Seriously what is it Australia likes about this loud Hippo Beast? She's just loud. She's not that good. She's not entertaining. She's going win and flop, seriously who the fuck would buy her CD? What kind of music would she make? Hate. Besides nothing can top Sarah Mather's elimination performance of "Get Ready," so funny. Go home. Wes - Ooo, I really like this song. He sounded phenomenal on it. Excellent. Since Sophie and Teale are doomed I'm rooting for a Wes win. Roshitty - Boring, but less loud and annoying than Chrislyn. Go home. 1. Wes 2. Teale 3. Sophie Everyone else can go to hell. Past weeks: Teale "Slide" was really good. I liked "Desire." I actually thought "The Pretender" from Roshitty was good. Loved "Ana's Song." Thought Thanh's "Shadow of a Day" was shitacular. OMG "Don't Speak" was bad. WTF AUSTRALIA? The screaming at the end, no words. I actually liked "Sex On Fire." Seriously I hate Chrislyn. I hated "Mamma Mia." Sophie <3 just because. Loved "Gimme!"
