Oh well, less people to care about. Brooke, Sophie, and Teale to win. Sophie was actually put through based on votes, so that makes me slightly more optimistic about her chances. Thanh, Chrysler, and Luke to die. I'm starting to feel the TOMOWNAGE a little bit too. <3 |

I'm still a little shocked that Amanda didn't make it yet Luke and Sophie did... Amanda was really the only person that I thought was a 100% shoe-in
for a finals spot from the wildcards...
Honestly, the only exposure of Sophie that I've had is her two performances that are on the official site. I never would have given her a second thought after her group 3 performance which was complete torture. In fact, I didn't even know that she was fucking the judges until I started reading some of the posts in here right before the wildcard. |

sure at this point the betting odds dont mean much. Natalie Gauci / Marty Simpson / Carl Riseley were all like in the bottom 5 and they all ended up in final 4. The only time they got it right was with Kate Dearaugo. She had the best odds during top 12 and 11. Then she started slipping away |

I guess its turned out to be a good Top 12 but kinda prefer last years 12 more. I'm suprised Sophie is so divisive on here.
Sophie is my top fav this year. I hope she wins, she is absolutely fantastic. I loved her first performance when everyone was dissing it, I thought it was amazing. Second one, even better. I said last week I got Gauci vibes from her. I really think she'll win. But knowing how accurate I've been in the past, she stands no chance. :-P Teale, Wes, Jonny, Thanh, I really like as well. Methinks the judges were told Sophie was getting in by votes anyway so they changed one of their picks to fucking Luke. WTF? Amanda was rawbed.
Anyways, my guesstimated placings: 12th: Mark (I sense he will be the forgotten man, like Angie from season 2 and Natalie from season 3) 11th: Teale (I find him so boring) 10th: Jimmy (I think the 3 boring guys will go first) 9th: Tahn (Make that 4) 8th: Chrislyn (I can't see her going further) 7th: Luke (Even with judge pimpage, he can't make top 6) 6th: Roshani (Good, but not amazing) 5th: Tom (The teen vote  )
4th: Brooke (Hayley Jensen?) 3rd: Maddam (I think she will be popular, but not top 2) 2nd: Wes (Bo Bice?) 1st: Sophie (Hopefully! <3) |

Four guys will not be the first ones out Zesty. No way, no how. In fact, it's far more likely we have a reshash
of last season where three girls drop, despite being down 7-5.
12. Luke *gasp* a guy out first 11. Roshani 10. Chrislyn 9. Johnny 8. Brooke
7. Teale (And Reggie stops watching...) 6. Thanh 5. Sophie 4. Mark 3. Tom 2. Madam 1. Wes That's my prediction, at least. Eta: I just read the info on the new voting system and it won't lead to bad results, I don't think. The bottom three can't change. One of those three will go. It'll just prevent surprise boots from happening. Like..Sucky Person having sympathy over talented person, reveal bottom three, talented person fans are shocked and power vote to make sure they don't go. In that scenario, the role of "sucky person" will be played by Jonny Taylor on Mondays, Tom Williams for the Tuesday-Thursday Matinee, and Luke Dickens for the weekend shows.

I'm a little disappointed because I was hoping Aussie Idol would be completely different than AI talent wise and
there were so many in auditions and the top 24 that I liked. But with Roshani making it over Amanda and Tom being in there at all, it's diva heavy and
includes a tween fav that will probably last longer than he should. That said, I like Brooke, Teale, Wes, Sophie, Jonny. Need to hear more from Mark. I like
Luke's voice, but his last 2 performances shouldn't have landed him in the top 12. And I DESPISE that chin hair. Not a fan of Tranh. I have Madam in
the diva group, but she may go in a slightly different direction. I just didn't feel she was that strong, not sure what I missed. If she's going to
stick around I hope she finds a personality.
I do think Roshani is adorable, but hate her musical genre and that I'm-so-teeny thing is going to get old for me. And is Chrislyn the one who only sings songs from Dreamgirls? She can go quickly, too. Sophie's last two performances weren't awesome, but I loved her audition and I think her voice is unique. Hopefully she chooses her songs and arrangements better and the stylists tone down her hair a little. And hopefully they wash Jonny's. I'm still shocked Amanda didn't make it. I was really looking forward to seeing what she would do. I'm surprised James didn't make it due to his "story," but I can see why. I don't think he helped himself by not being able to articulate what kind of an artist he would be. |
