Why Amanda was mad at Erik?! Wasn't that bitch gonna vote him out anyway if he hadn't have won immunity?!
So what was her big deal with him voting for her. |

I thought Erik was the only one to vote for her to win

I think you're confused with Erik from last season, Dyke.

My guess would be she's mad because she "saved" Erik from getting voted off back when it was between him and the Siska. She felt he should be
indebted to her for the rest of the show I guess!

She thought that since she played a role in him not being voted out previously, that he should return the favor or whatever. She didn't see herself voting
him out as being the same thing because she didn't feel like she owned him anything for getting where she was.

I think she was just working the crowd, trying to make Erik look bad and feel guilty blah-di-blah. It's possible that while she earned kudos from the jury
for her blindside, she also lost points for trying to make Erik look bad for not saving her when "all along" she had the HII. And it doesn't
matter that she didn't have it all along, because the damage is done with the jury. Despite the blindside, she might still not be well-liked generally.

Zomg Amanda was actually trying to guilt-trip Erik as a strategy. What has the world come to?

It all comes back to how Amanda is possessive over Ozzy. Erik and Alexis are totally on her list.

She thought that since she played a role in him not being voted out previously, that he should return the favor or whatever. She didn't see herself voting him out as being the same thing because she didn't feel like she owned him anything for getting where she was. So basically what you're saying is that it was okay for Amanda to use Erik for whatever reason she wanted, but when Erik tried to finally play, she had a hissy-fit. I'm still baffled that she tried to take all the credit for Erik stay during the Ami boot episode. Last time I checked, there was one other person (Cirie) in the exact same position. My guess would be she's mad because she "saved" Erik from getting voted off back when it was between him and the Siska. Well, since Erik had immunity the episode Jason was voted out, I don't think Amanda can take credit for helping him stay. |

She was acting like she was "LIVID" at Erik to throw them of the scentof the HII. Or semi acting, everyone is always pissed someone is voting for
them. If you not made your getting voted out, why bother...............

Yeah, had Erik not won immunity, he would've been voted out 5-1 probably, she would've voted for him. I mean, the guy was trying to be as nice and
honest as possible with her about it and she just went off on him. I mean, yeah she may be trying to guilt trip him for strategy, but it's not like
she's going to be able to make him pull an Ian.

Sole Survivor Genius wrote: When has she tried to guilt-trip someone as a strategy before? Besides, when doing it to Erik, her real motive was not to get him to switch his vote, but to get him to think that she thought she was going home (thus concealing the fact that she had the HII). Since she definitely accomplished her motive, I think it's safe to say that it worked. ETA: ^lol, I didn't even notice that. |

I think she went overboard with Erik. If she was trying to act like she was sad and upset, I think she had it covered without having to harass Erik at tribal.
If he makes jury, berating him like that isn't going to give him a reason to vote for her. She should have just left it at the old doe eyes thing.

Totally a jury play, especially since she already had the idol ready to play. Basically, her card is that she was "the one faithful person" to play
this game, but Erik is perceived as that golly gee whillikers type and thus is the biggest threat to her in terms of jury she might think.
I always find it interesting how they perceive the jury will vote vs. how I do (which is never the same). I mean, seriously, there are pretty much two types of jury votes: the popularity vote and the strategery vote. In recent seasons, things have gotten more and more towards strategy being the main ingredient when people make their vote. Everyone seemed to think Amanda was the biggest thread in front of jury prior to this episode when all she did was pretty much the exact same thing as last year - go along for the ride in the controlling alliance. Other than the initial setting up with Parvati, James, Cirie, and Ozzy, she hasn't really seemed to distinguish herself at all in the strategy game. But NOW having successfully played the idol (with a jury consisting of a majority of idol flunkouts no less) I think she actually has a much more credible chance of winning a vote. I just don't think the nice girl shit plays with this crowd. Anyhow, I actually have enjoyed the throwing people under the bus moves at tribal (like Eliza did to Ozzy and The Stupid Dude whose name I've already forgotten who got voted out after Ozzy). -QG |

Parvati did tell Amanda to guilt trip him since she saved him by voting out Ami when he was the last remaining fan on Malakal.
It was either that or she was actually upset about getting votes for the first time ever. Either way I <3 it! |

Every season everyone freaks out about the jury and thinks anyone who gets betrayed will never ever vote for that person and falsely believe someone is some
huge sort of jury threat (Zoinks! Lill is gonna win for sure!!!!). Then season after season the person that played better gets voted for to win. Amazing.

Wow to anyone thinking that Amanda was genuinely mad at Erik. As it was previously stated in this thread multiple times already, she was trying to guilt-trip
him and make him look bad in front of the jury.
I think this just proves that Amanda is a better player than many people in this thread would be. |
