There's two this season, but how are they used? Jeff Probst: I think we figured out how to do it this season. The very first time we introduced it, you had to play it before anybody voted. Then the second time we introduced it, you could play it after the votes had been made and read. So it was an absolute get-out-of-jail-free card. This season, I think we found the happy medium. You must play the Idol after the votes have been cast but before I read them. Before the votes, I say, "How confident are you? Do you want to take a chance? Or should you play your Idol?" That made a dramatic difference. The Idols get played. Nobody is sitting on their Idol until the end and taking it home as a souvenir.

Nah Definitely wrong there mate. Exile and Cook were both 'after the vote' idols. Fiji was the first one that got played before the votes were read but after the votes were cast. (Fiji, China & Micronesia were the same). Guatemala was before the votes were cast - which was even more powerless. Editted: Whoops - thanks Croc - didn't read your post until after I posted. Yeah I know my stuff with idols.

Posts: 13023 (05/08/08 9:18 AM) Registered User More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	In this case Erik WOULD be using it after promising he wouldn't with the women going to TC thinking they again snared another guy in their web then Erik lights a fire under everyone's butt and decides he will use it with causes everyone to panic/scramble. I don't see Erik getting the idol unless he wins RC and exiles himself. If he had it, wouldn't he keep it secret and try to idol Amanda? I think he wins immunity (male-friendly IC), but somehow Natalie and Cirie use has greed to get Amanda out against him.

One more "Survivor" will be voted out. Sunday's finale airs from 8-10 p.m, with the first hour in Micronesia, where two more castaways will be voted out. I think it all boils down to Erik and IC...where he trusts the wrong person and loses the challenge or gives it way at TC...and he gets booted!

Which doesn't necessarily mean there is a new hidden idol that someone finds and present at tribal council, but there's an idol in this episode somewhere.

More than likely this is an Erik boot episode and he pulls a Homer somehow which furthers the whole spiel that the women are just out and out duping the men over and over again but I gotta hope this week may be different

At this point in the game anyone would be a fool not to play the HII if they have a place to play it. The others would be fools to believe that a person would promise not to use it and go back on their word. I don't think any if these people are that big of a fool. Of course people could be put in a position where they have no choice but to hop and believe that a promise like that will be honored.

If somebody has it, they'd play it. If Erik is talked out of any immunity, he is the dumbest player ever. I would almost feel bad for the kid, and hope Natalie ends up playing the fool.
