"Sorry, Jeff, I just remembered that I left my gum under the seat. Nothing to see here." (And when is it hidden?could someone like Cirie accidentally find an idol, just by hanging around camp and noticing something that was different?) I wondered when it was hidden, also. I know the ground appeared to be all uniformly undisturbed, but it rains all the time, and the rain hitting the sand would disguise any recent digging at one particular location, I'd assume.

Too be fair a little bit to Erik, everyone wanted out Amanda last time so he might just assumes that is the case. He is still an idiot though, if he hadn't figured out that there was a women's alliance.

I think he agrees to vote with Natalie and Cirie, but realizes he can't beat Cirie or Natalie in the finals, but has a chance against Amanda and Parvati, so he turns and Nat and Cir. Erik would have a very good chance to beat both Natalie/Parvati in the finals. I don't think he could beat Cire/Amanda. Cire did some backstabbing too, but the jury would know how much of a fan favorite that Cire is. I am not suggesting that jury would vote for Cire, but wanting to look good to the fans might sway their decision. It happened on big brother, when chicken George didn't want to target Janelle with his hoh (during allstars). I wouldn't be surprised to see the jury vote that way.

Just questioning how this TC could be so ridiculously shocking. This season I will give SEG the benefit of the doubt on the hype; they have pretty much made good on every single teaser of how surprising some stuff have occurred.

So no double boot is possible. It may have been planned to be a double boot since we don't know what would have happened has James not left. It sounds to me like Erik somehow screws up this TC and gets his butt booted when he could have stayed ala Kristy.

Like the immunity idol last week was a surprise, but it wasn't a shock. Playing the idol at tribal council is a normal and expected part of the game. - Something outside of the game that happens to occur at tribal council? Like James goes into convulsions. - Someone refuses to play. They grab their torch and run away from the snuffer, for example. Of the people left in the game, Erik has been edited as a freak, but not an idiot. No one has been set up for this sort of rebellion. - The person with immunity decides that is is an unfair advantage, and throws the necklace in the fire. - We've seen twice Erik's interest in boobies, plus he paid a married lady $40 to suck her fingers. Some really inappropriate deal on national family-hour tv? But then there's Probst saying "How could this happen 16 seasons in?'" Not, "How could this happen after three blindsides in a row?", not "How could this happen after the purple rock in ei?"and not just "How could this happen?" Like maybe it would have happened the first season or two, but not after anyone with a lick of sense had this many years of experience with Survivor. - Some production muddle that impacts the result, they lose a ballot while they're counting, or a cameraman's headphones are up and the players overhear previous votes. I'd believe it could happen, but I don't think they'd show it to us. - Fire is life. They go to a firestarting tiebreak, and someone can't do it. - The thing that stands out for me from the first season, before alliances were invented, is how all over the board the post-merge voting was. Folks get really muddled, and we get 2-1-1-1? - Supposedly one round the first season Pagong all voted for Probst and pissed him off big time? Someone votes for him? I guess she gave the editors plenty of ammo. For the shocker, I'm thinking Eric wants to do something not allowed by the rules and Jeff has to say.. Whoa! Back when it was him or Ami being voted off, wasn't it Eric that was saying he could ask Jeff to be some kind of 'guest' Jury member or something? I don't think he understands the whole thing somehow.
