David Cook just broke the curse of singing 2nd on top 5 week. Previously it meant you would be sent home. So nothing is written in stone. There are some songs
that are cursed, and yet people still go ahead and sing them. I read that Byrd always tell them "so and so did this and was sent home" and they still
want to sing it.

If you've got a scandal about you're past that gets outed to the media then you will be gone quickly - regardless of how talented you are. The AI viewers want "squeaky clean" Idols with boring pasts - even if their talent is only medicore. |
