He blew the live performance, but the studio is okay. The beauty of "I Will Dare" is: A: Nobody knows it. B: It's completely mid-range. No weird lower register. C: He could phone it in with the original arrangement and the judges would still lap it up and comment on his originality as a contestant. (see A) If anybody sings "Rock Lobster" I will be compelled to vote for them at least once.

Simon said that on Mariah night, the guys would have it easier because there would be less comparison. I wouldn't be surprised if they hold Cook to a higher standard, and if he's not perfect, I expect the judges to go hard on him (and by judges, I mean Simon).

Simon may try to ensure we Cooktards vote our butts off, but he won't outright endanger him. (If he does, I'll have to shank him.) dagny, do you love the studio version of Innocent? Huh, huh?? I sure wish he'd recorded All I Really Need is You. His voice sounded so awesome on that.

Screamesh Nice fits that wouldn't allow her much room to screech it up: I Fall To Pieces - Patsy Cline Going To A Go-Go - The Miracles (I think she could nail this, and look mighty cute doing it). For Laffs: I'm Not a Juvenile Delinquent - Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers OhThatJason Nice fit uptempo/uptempoish choices, 'cause that's where he should go this week, IMO: -Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac -Time (Clock Of The Heart) - Culture Club For Laffs: Curtis Mayfield - Superfly (I'd vote my arms down to the elbow if he did an acoustic version, but still wore a Pimp Hat).
