So you think that Amanda didn't want Joel gone, didn't want Jason gone. And the show made it seem like Natalie not Cirie was the main force behind Jason's boot. Amanda was just as in on that plan as Cirie was...She may have wanted Joel gone but did nothing to cause it. And she probably didn't want him gone so soon because he would help in the challenges. Cirie needed Chet to stay to provide a weaker target than herself. Joel was targeting Cirie not Amanda. It doesn't matter what the show implied about Jason's boot, Cirie was a big part of it and Amanda did nothing except tell James about the plan which could have caused James boot if he slipped to Jason. Did she want James to do something about it but failed? If Cirie wanted James to flip the target, she probably would have succeeded. I don't remember Amanda doing anything last time except the James surprise boot and Todd or the poker player? had thought of it earlier so maybe they gave her the idea.
Amanda was the one who had to convince Todd and Courtney to take out Sherea instead of Jr. Because both wanted to take out JR. If Todd and Courtney had
gotten their way, it would have been the stupidest move in Survivor history because they would have given up their tribal majority. Sherea in interviews said
she would have switched back. For that reason alone, I think Amanda is a smart player.. Although I don't know if it's just that Amanda's smart and
Todd/Courtney weren't very smart. That's why I really wish Amanda had challenged Todd on his "mastermind" thing and at least pointed out
that Todd and Courtney. There were others on that jury who could have backed that one up. One of the things I think is Amanda's biggest problem is she
really doesn't know how to defend her own playing.
As for this season, Cirie is the type of player who has to take a big role in the early pre merge boots, because Cirie is someone who will be on the chopping
block because she's one of the physically weaker players. Period. Amanda is someone who will not normally be on the chopping block as much... So she can
lay low more. This doesn't mean though that if she feels something threatens her position in the game, she won't strike. For example, I think the
forshadowing is there that Amanda is not comfortable with the 5 alliance and will do something to switch things up a bit to make her position a little stronger
one.
