Shut up, tard. Tons of stores have copies. If anything they're more likely to be overstocked than sold out.

Awww, he tried raining on my parade... and failed.
BTW, I already reserved it since Gamestop gave an extra 20% on trade-ins. |

Gamestop is the only place that's ever actually sold out of a game. Usually they're all within blocks of Target or Walmart or such who will have copies
coming out their noses.

Anti's right. The only store I've ever walked into and been told "sorry, we're sold out" is at a Gamestop/EB Games/whatever else they
call themselves.
I was able to go into Wal Mart (I know, I know, but it was the only place open at 9:30 this morning) and easily get a copy. Looks like they had a bunch too. |

Fuck Roman's car, what a piece of shit. Harder to just sit up high and create chaos, the cops in this game are much more proactive. For shits and giggles,
go into Algonquin before it's unlocked and see how long you stay alive
It's really stunning, running around in places I've hung out rendered amazingly. -SJ™ |

GTA IV Multiplayer Down For PS3 Players
We've already contacted SCEA who tells us that they're aware of the issue and "looking into it." We haven't been able to get through to Rockstar support via telephone, but continue to try. We're awaiting response from their public relations team and will update when we hear more. In the meantime, PS3 owners who are experiencing connection issues with GTA IV should let us know in the comments. |

So are the people in the fanboy forums arguing yet about which version is better - XBox360 or PS3?

Bought it today for my son. He is loving it.

So how big would you say the total area of Liberty City is?
I'm guessing smaller than San Andreas, but bigger than Vice City? |

Multiplayer mode is incredible(XBox, zero problems). I've played Free Roam today for a total of about an hour and loved every second of it. The engine
the game is built on (Euphoria) allows for some absolutely spectacular deaths.

I played some mutliplayer on xbox live today too. Did deathmatch and free roam. Both were relatively problem free.
And am I the only one sick of Roman yet? I'm trying to drive cars off a pier and he's calling me up asking me to go bowling. STFU! |

I finally started the game. Stayed in Roman's apartment and watched tv for 15 minutes, then I walked outside, got in a fight with some random jackass for
no reason (he started it!), and drove a car around until it blew up. Then I was tired and shut it off.
I like the classic controls setup a lot better than the new way. I'm sure people new to the series will enjoy them, but I'm way too used to the 3.x games, not to mention having played a lot of first-person games recently where R2 is run, not X. So the controls are gonna be the biggest hurdle, besides having so much to do that I end up not doing anything. Are there finite goals, like in 3 which had a "percent completed" stat? Could one create a checklist of everything to do? Hidden packages and the like? |

And am I the only one sick of Roman yet? I'm trying to drive cars off a pier and he's calling me up asking me to go bowling. STFU! Ok, super nerd-dad question. I know that the GTA games have a lot of language in them. I have GTA 3 and Vice City (not Andres). Is the language really bad in this one? I mean, like in Andres there were like 14 fucks in the first 5 minutes. I'll have to play this while my son is in the other room, but I don't want him to hear f-bombs every 4 seconds. I liked te guy from III better b/c he didn't talk. It made him mysterious. Also - can Xbox and PS3 owners play together (like Final Fnatasy XI) or is it stuck to playing against people with the same system as you? |

Been playing it tonight. The controller setup was kind of strange since I'd played the others so I went to Classic, then I just bit the bullet and went to
Standard. After you play a few of the beginning missions you get used to it. Aiming still feels a little strange so I need to practice, although I love how you
can target specific areas.
I LOVE the rock station. A couple of the songs put a huge smile on my face. I'll have to look through the song list on the different stations. Had to turn on subtitles to know what the characters were saying. Hailing a taxi is pretty fun too, just sitting there looking around. It's almost impossible to lose the cops with a 3-star rating, with the helicoptors watching. The little touches are amazing. Was driving around and slid off onto the train tracks, where the tunnel was bricked up and a bum was hanging around. People running with umbrellas or newspapers over their heads during rain, and when it stops they hold their hand out to check that it had stopped. This might be the game that finally motivates me to get on XBox Live. |
