Wow! That's amazing!
My favorite thing is having sex with the prostitutes, then killing them to get my money back.... and I'm not talking about the game. :) |

Fuckers are sending the toned down version to NZ, because it's in the same delivery line as Australia who don't have an R18 level...
Fuckers. I guess I'm going to have to sweet talk the asian relatives... Dammit! |

Grand Theft UPS: copies of GTA stolen en route to retailersBy Ben Kuchera | Published: April 28, 2008 - 08:13AM CT
I asked if this was common when big-name games were released, and he told me no; the situation was novel, or he wouldn't have brought it up at all. The game was enticing enough for many workers to risk losing their job and, in typical fashion for low-level crimes like this, it has been easy to identify the workers stealing the games. "When we have a [big name release], we communicate it to operations and security teams. We have security in place at the facilities, and we make sure they understand to keep an eye out for things to exit the building," he explained. How did they find where games were stolen? "We had tips from people inside, and some of them were discovered at intermediate hubs... it's easy to spot: flaps torn, some boxes are re-taped." In most cases, the bust is as easy as finding the last person who scanned the box as full and interviewing them."They're not selling them, these people are stealing one copy," he told me-all of the thefts seem to be for personal use. It seems many people think stealing a game a few days before release is worth it, and this is far from the perfect crime. "As long as the people loading the packages are doing their jobs, it's easy to track down," our source told Ars. "It's kind of funny, isn't it? It's a game about theft, and people are stealing it." His eyes began to shine as he said, "and I get to terminate them." |

I saw the live gameplay demonstration on G4 yesterday. Looks cool, I'll be picking up a PS3 soon I guess.
I liked Vice City more than San Andreas though. Better music and easier to get the maps down. San Andreas was fun , but too fuckin big. |

Whoever gets this first, please post specifics on multiplayer and if you can cross platform. So far I have UKK and sadllama on my "must kill" list,
man I really want to shoot sadllama in the face with a rocket launcher
I'd LOVE to add more of you to my kill list! My buddy was a huge fan of the extremely large San Andreas map, but when I asked if he would have enjoyed it without spawning jet fighters to get from city to city, the answer was no. Also, apparently any way you slice it, it takes a physical hour to go from one end of the GTAIV map to the other, so it seems plenty big. And you can go UP bridges and buildings. I think they knew what they were doing or it wouldn't have taken so long to come out. God bless GTA and PS3 :P -SJ™ |

I'm on PS3 and while I wouldn't be opposed to online multi, it's not really the kind of game in which I would be competitive.

Damn, I'm on 360. And who cares about being competitive? I just wanna be able to go around and blow shit up with 15 other human players.

sadllama wrote: Ditto. Who knows, maybe they have a really great multiplayer mode. Syphon filter pulled it off so why not GTA? Since it isn't a combat game per se, I
imagine online will be a bunch of kiddiots running around trying to fuck up other peoples games. Not that I would ever do such a thing, of course :P

I pre-ordered ;)
Getting it tonight unless the line is too long with everybody else who preordered, in which case 10am tomorrow. I'm not really big on standing in line for hours. -SJ™ |
