Kelly took a nosedive releasing her third album, and we'll see which way Carrie goes. But if anything, Carrie just keeps getting bigger and bigger every day. (insert fat jokes) Kelly's an international superstar for her genre. Nothing more, nothing less. Country is exactly what it implies. It aint never going to be huge outside of the US.

They are close but Carrie still beats Kelly. I will admit, their styles are completely different. One is Pop/Rock, one is Country. They are both very talented with passionate, loyal fans. Usually every time she gets an award or does a concert she thanks American Idol and the people who voted for her. I don't see anything wrong with this. Grateful should have been the name of her debut CD. She is down to earth and still has not let the fame go to her head. She is a beautiful and gracious woman. I never said it was Kelly's fault Carrie doesn't have international success. I was just stating the facts. I would also dobut she has been introduced outside of the US and Canada so do what you will that. No one was forcing you to voice your opinion. If you don't like the debate don't get involved.

It's about "who has sold more". Which is when the Carrie fans trot out her domestic sales figures. Then the Kelly fans point out that she has sold more worldwide than Carrie has. Then the Carrie fans scoff and say that worldwide sales don't count. Kelly fans disagree. Repeat 100 times. So I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I prefer Kelly as an artist, and in terms of sales she's right up there with Carrie whether you count domestic or international sales.

I guess the successful solo tour she had in 2007, the successful European Tour she had from Feb to April, the successful duet tour with Reba, the grammy nomination for the song she wrote BOY, the amazing performance in front of the Pope.... all those things never happened. If Kelly is a has-been then a lot of artists are in serious trouble. No one can maintain the level of popularity and limelight that Kelly had during Breakaway... she'd burn out and truth be told so would the public. Carrie won't maintain it either and when her time at the top is done there will be someone there to take her place... there always is. Kelly > Carrie in personality, charisma, vocal talent, charm, world wide success.... Carrie > Kelly in ass licking, vomiting, and use of hair extensions
