One of these players is The Mole, a double agent we hired working for us against the other 13. At the end of each episode the players take the quiz, ten questions about The Mole. The quiz determines who stays and who goes, because the player who scores the lowest on the quiz is executed, sent home immediately. Up to millions dollars hinges on discovering who is The Mole. Watch for the hidden clues to the identity of The Mole...

so Me is a Windows 95 based program, so it's definitely beginning to look like a Win 2000/Xp thing...

It does make you wonder why Microsoft originally developed different font standards for their two Windows branches.

Re: | ||

It sorta means we have to make two of everything. I don't have XP/2000, so I'm not gonna attempt it. Unless someone knows how to make it compatible.

I looked into making it compatible with NT/XP and found nothing really. There were programs claiming to do it, but after I downloaded them and tried opening the font, it still brought up an error saying it wasn't a valid font. Pretty odd.

Re: Conversion | ||

I have Windows XP and when I downloaded the zip the only part that went wrong was when I was trying to install the font it said this is not a valid font file and then I tried using exe, ttf, and Dan's site but it still said it was invalid. Can someone PLEASE make a Windows XP version of the font?
P.S. I have Windows 95, but it doesn't have internet access, if I save it on a floppy, would the font still be able to work? |

sorry 'bout that "test" - font now works in XP

1) I tried to add a reply but kept getting ezboard errors. Argh. Finally something got through! Success, and embarassment.
2) I have XP and the font generated errors. So I loaded in the Day24 font into Fontographer generated both a truetype and a type 1 version that work in XP. I also fixed the character for the number 6. It was an outline only, and would not appear solid like the others in the font (possibly the problem?). Those of you for whom this font works, check that in your version and see. You can find these at: Not anymore and Just pop-ups Let me know if there's anything I missed. It's always possible. And thank you to the creator of this font! kirkhere P.S. doraemon, if you see this, drop me a note if you remember me (--I've been kirkhere and yojimbo in the past). |

Re: | ||

Thankyou so much. That saves me a lot of bother trying to figure out what was wrong. I'm pretty sure it was just differing formats across the versions.

It's always worked for me on W98, but I downloaded the new one anyway. thanks, guys! Having the font is a blessing
Oh, I used the Survivant and Bloc Heavy font for my new Amazon page banner . I couldn't figure out how to use the Day 24 font and make it work without being overdone or busy. Any ideas? |

Re: its not working for me :(

It should... I tried it on two other XP machines (in addition to the one I reprocessed it on) and it displayed on each one.
Some thoughts... You might try deleting the earlier copies of it from your fonts dir, then rebooting. Possibly it's been cached in some way. Did you try the Type 1 version as well as the TrueType? XP has built in support for Type 1 fonts, so give 'em both a shot and let us know. kirkhere |

What do you mean by overdone and busy, Dan?

Re: Re: | ||

You're dead on Dan... you would be a bit busy if you put the Day 24 font in there as well. I wouldn't be too concerned about it... it's a very nice looking logo!
The only way I could see it working in that logo is if you made a tagline quote at the bottom, and use Day 24 for the font of the quote. Not sure if it's necessary though. *shrugs* "Debate is a plate best served well-garnished" ~ Chillin411

Re: | ||

I guess you could use it for sub headings if you wanted. Like have the main logo, and then the heading for each page in Day 24.

Hey timnz, what happened to the BlocHeavy replica you were working on? Did you make an XP Compatible version of it yet?
