What exactly does it say? i.e. the wording. I'll try and look it up.

Why is it looking in a subdirectory other than C: \ windows\fonts ???

Re: Re: | |||

Whenever I download a font and un-zip it, I open it to where it has the font in the window then open the fonts directory then drag the font into the font window. Make sense?

OK, I have something to try. Apparently there's an error with some programs if you save it as a Zip file (Netscape anyone?), so I put in into an EXE file. Fingers crossed....

Re: Re: | |||

Instead of copying the font .TTF file into the Windows\fonts directory, the prefered method is to open the Fonts directory through the Control Panel and select "Install New Font..." from the File menu. Navigate to wherever you unZipped it, and it will do all the copying for you (if you want), and probably a few other details a simple copy doesn't do for you.
Not sure that'll help, but try it. Edit: Never mind. Should have tried it first, eh? Didn't work for NT 4.0. |

It said the font file is damaged, Timnz, is there something you're not telling us?

Tim, With all due respect, no way am I going to open an EXE!
I have a font page at SMaps. I've added your font to that page and people can download the .ttf file directly without any interuptions. www.claycritters.com/map/font.htm |

Re: Re: | |||

Didn't work, I think the problem is that you left a lot of empty spaces for your font like the semi-colon, maybe if you complete it, it will work.

Re: Re: | |||

It also says "Use Microsoft Word 2000 SR-1 Disk" which I don't have.

Re: Re: | |||

Lots of fonts have that many blank spaces. I understand about the EXE file. Try downloading the TTF file directly (substitute .zip for .ttf)

Tried it, doesn't work. Does anybody have a copy of Microsoft Word 2000 SR-1 Disk? If so can someone download a copy to me? I have 21 days left to play with the font on Windows Font Viewer. My email is majibb@yahoo.com and michael@beasleyhome.com

Re: Re: | |||

Tried downloading from Dan's site as well. No luck, same problem. (Still trying NT 4.0, Win98 worked fine.)

Re: Re: | |||

If you succeeded with WIN98, but failed with NT, then it's a compatibility problem, not a problem with Tim's font. Someone with an NT font program will have to fix this.

Re: Re: | |||

It probably is an NT issue, since those for whom it doesn't work are using WinNT-based Os's (Win 2000 and Win XP), and those for whom it works are using Win95-based OS's (Win98 and Win ME).

Re: | |||

Well I'm out. All I've ever used is Win95 and 98, so someone with NT will have to assist. Maybe you could try downloading a font making program, opening it up (which someone said works), and then re-saving it from scratch.

Hey Guys, FYI the "Day 24" font was not just created for Survivor because I saw the font on the cover on the movie Canadian Bacon so it is out there.
