The Priory is a loony bin.
The Daily Mail in the UK is reporting it too. I'll wait to see if a legitimate source picks the story up.

Susan Boyle was in the Priory clinic last night suffering from exhaustion. Couple days of rest, she'll be well again. The Sun: Experts reckon she could make up to £8million after selling the rights to her fairytale life story, as well as a book deal, record cash and further millions from image rights, product endorsements and TV appearances. news.scotsman.com: Loser? Would Susan Boyle be in a mental hospital today if there hadn't been such an overreaction to her first performance?

I think Susan has always been an emotionally fragile person. The sudden hype simply pushed her over. She's probably been the neighborhood kook all her
life. No wonder she's never had a relationship & has never been kissed. I feel sorry for her but the way she's acting now is probably nothing
new.

Susan Boyle Checks Into Private Clinic After 'Emotional Breakdown'Sunday, May 31, 2009 LONDON - "Britain's Got Talent" sensation Susan Boyle was in the Priory clinic Sunday night suffering from exhaustion. The singer had an "emotional breakdown" following Saturday's final in which she was runner-up. But the talent show favorite was still eyeing a United States tour. The 48-year-old virgin, tipped to earn about $13 million, survived !*%%! and a tantrum to finish second in Saturday's gripping final of television's "Britain's Got Talent." PHOTOS: Click here for photos of Susan Boyle. But the pressure finally showed late yesterday as the Scottish singer - dubbed SuBo by fans - was rushed to the private clinic suffering from exhaustion. Show aides had contacted police to say she was acting strangely at her London hotel. Paramedics helped the "spaced-out" star through the lobby and into an ambulance just after 6 p.m. local time. A Met Police Inspector and a police doctor were called to assist. The ambulance, tailed by a police car, then took her to the Priory clinic in Southgate, North London. A source at the hotel said last night: "She'd been at the hotel for a few days, but since Saturday's final had been acting strangely, causing a bit of a stir. "The staff were concerned - something wasn't right. "When the paramedics and police arrived she agreed to go voluntarily. She didn't make a fuss. The paramedics calmly took her out through the main lobby and into the waiting ambulance. "It was all done very calmly. They didn't want to stress or upset her. She didn't look well - she looked lost, not all there." A source at the clinic said last night: "I was having a cigarette break when a whole load of ambulances arrived. "Everyone was saying, 'Who's that'? Then I saw her and it was Susan Boyle. I was gobsmacked |

How British of those people to exploit a mentally not-quite-there ugly woman for their own media circus. I expect to be further entertained by Susan's
downward spiral in weeks to come.

"Producers of the show said Susan Boyle was 'exhausted and emotionally drained'.
TV company talkbackThames released a statement saying the Scottish spinster had been advised by a doctor to take time off.
According to other reports, after her shock defeat Boyle, from Blackburn, West Lothian, ran down a corridor shouting: 'I hate this show.' She is accused of swearing and throwing a cup of water over a floor manager who tried to calm her down.

I think the Queen should personally invite Susan Boyle to Buckingham Palace for tea or something. And then issue some proclamation to tell the press to buzz off, or it's off with their heads. |

snaggle-toothed Brits
I think the Queen should personally invite Susan Boyle to Buckingham Palace for tea or somethingI think the Queen did invite Susan Boyle to perform. From The Sun... Even the Queen has been bowled over by her talent - and has personally requested an appearance by Susan at the Royal Variety Performance. |

The kindest thing to do for Susan Boyle is to allow her to go back to her village and live in obscurity. She's not cut out for life in show business and I
wouldn't be surprised that this isn't her first stint in a mental hospital. I wonder if the producers of Britain's Got Talent screen contestants
for mental health?

My friend in London confirms the same thing. He wrote...
"The level of fame of that woman Susan Boyle is mad! On Sunday she was on the cover of every paper, tabloid or serious and poor Diversity who won were nowhere to be seen! She was discussed on the Channel 4 news last night by show biz experts... just incredible... as really, who cares? so she looks down syndrome and she can sing, big deal. I prefer acts who can juggle, or acrobats, especially if they are men, buff and half naked!" |

Susan is popular because way too many people (and the media) have created a Susan Boyle in their heads that can't be further from the truth. The Susan
Boyle in the imagination of the media is this saintly oppressed spinster with an angelic voice (bonus points for looking fug) while the real Susan Boyle is a
mentally not-quite-there, socially awkward, talented but not that talented woman who is having serious problems adjusting to the limelight.

I can't speak for the whole world, but I thought Susan's audition as shown on GBT was one of the most uplifting and beautiful seven minutes of television I have ever witnessed. |
