Is it bad that I like Jacob Hoggard's version of "Forever in Blue Jeans" so much better than the original? (he sang it in his audition). I had
never heard the original before and I can't stand to listen to it after hearing Jacob's better version.

Now, mwahaha, *rubs paws together* if I had my way, this little quintet of wannabes would be catapulted out of their boxes when it comes to song choices for this week: Cookie - "Heartlight." (I actually like that weird, corny, kinda creepy, song. Maybe the Cookie Monster could pull off a miracle and make it sound...kinda...c-c-cool?). De-Chile - "Love On The Rocks" (Just, 'cause). Babbles - "Girl, You'll be a woman soon" (And no, she wouldn't be allowed to changeup the lyrics to "make them more suitable" for a female singer). Screamesh - "You don't bring me flowers" (Let's see her try to insert some screechin' into that one). OhThatJason - "I've been this way before" (I don't know if I've ever even heard this song. But, I was looking for something that might suit OTJ, and then I saw that particular title....).

De-Chile - "Love On The Rocks" (Just, 'cause). That's my favo Neil song. I would have to have a piano drop on the kiddiot's head during the performance if he chose that one. It's too sacred for the evil one to destroy. |

There are way too many good ND songs to choose from.
I can see Cook doing Delirious Love for something a bit more recent. Neil Diamond is still putting out good stuff. I love Pretty Amazing Grace from his new album -- and I wouldn't be surprised if he performed that on the show. |

Brooke's always beside the mentor. <3

Probably because most of the mentors are dirty old men. :)

??? Haven't we had three mentors thus far? Dolly, Mariah & ALW? Now Dolly may be a predatory lesbian who enjoys fresh young meat, but she is most definitely NOT a dirty old man... Mariah might be a lot of things, but "dirty old man" isn't one of them. That leaves ALW, whose alleged status as a "dirty old man" wouldn't necessarily put him next to Brooke. If anything, he was hitting on Cookie... |

I was also thinking of David Foster's massive hard on for McPhee a couple of seasons ago.

The season one top 5 were no slouches in the looks department. But Syesha's magnificent see-through purple blouse in that shot might give this group a
slight edge over that one. Nikki didn't dress anywhere near as sexy as she could have except for the fishnet and boots ensemble she wore during one of her
many bottom 3 appearances.
