EOT's right. Her friend knows we can afford the room. She suggested sharing it because she's cheap and pushy, but she's also been Mrs. P's
friend for years.

Just the idea of having the inconvienience of four people showering and sharing a bathroom, let alone trying to dress for the wedding, would lead me to pay for
the other couple's room.
Besides, I don't trust strangers enough to allow them too close whilst I slumber. |

Get the room and make them sleep on the floor.
Obviously they need to learn their place. |

You dudes are male doormats.I'm sure you'll have help pointing it out, but I'm included in this how? Financially, offering to pay $400 for a room to help out a friend is no more than picking up a check. It's not going to break the bank, and if we were in a similar position, I'd hope we had friends who would offer to do it for us. |

Can we absolutely rule out that Powers and the wife are actually the 'friends' in question here?

Yes, yes we can.
Buggles actually has a good suggestion. I might bring that up. Dear (cheap bastard). We're happy to share and we'll even pay for the room. Since we've reserved a king bedded room, you might want to bring an air mattress as I'd imagine the floor isn't very comfortable.

It'd be worth the 350 to help them out and prompt them to keep in touch. You are saying if you didn't pay them, they wouldn't be prompted to stay in touch. This is just like your extinction thread, except me = you and you = vector. |

If you feel you need to help them out, go with a separate room. Friends who invade other friends' spaces don't stay friends for long.

It is never a good idea to share a room, what if someone gets sick and start vomitting urine or something?

Hey Pow, sorry, I actually have a life to live and I didn't read the thread to find out why you guys feel it is in imposition. So why are you so opposed to
sharing the room in 15 words or less. I want to know b/c I care about you and Mrs. Pow.

You had two possible interpretations to that sentence and you decided on the obtuse approach for the debate. I don't deny I have done that in the past but since I offered further explanations to qualify it which was, no doubt, a waste of my time since you knew what I meant the first time around now you are arguing for arguing sake. |
