So you have to pay your friends to keep them around?

and YOU don't rent 'em by the 'hour' (your code for 6.5 minutes?)

Suit, they don't live in Boston. Thanks for your unsolicited help and surprisingly tacky racism though.

Do you two also pay your spouses so they don't leave you?

Doing something nice for them when they need it is what makes a good friend good. Easy to be friends when everything is great. Besides a flat 'no' will put additional strain on them and could even hurt their marriage. |

Right on, buddy!
See, I stay friends with EoT for the sex, not any money. Doing something nice for them when they need it is what makes a good friend good. That's not what you said, you said you have to pay them to ensure they stay in touch. |

As a point of order, it's Mrs. P's college friend, not mine. I have no problem telling her she's being a cheap twat and to ridicule her husband for
his apparent lack of balls. However, Mrs. P has something called "tact", which I lack. She does not wish to do the slash and burn approach to her
friendship with the pushy friend, and I am being a supportive husband by offering options. $400 isn't that much to spend on a good (albeit incredibly
pushy) friend.

But they aren't friends if they are moochers, and you enable them.

No, don't do it. No way. Do you really want to lay in bed at night listening to some other guy fart and snore? And does your wife want to listen to two
men farting and snoring?
It's just too personal. On my recent vacation I got my mom a separate room cause I didn't feel comfortable having her in our room, nor did I think she would be comfortable being in a room with a married couple. It's just too personal. There are some boundaries you shouldn't cross. Her friend is way out of line even asking. |

"Mr. Powers is incontinent and we know we'll have to switch to the extra bed halfway through the night."
Problem solved. |
