As a point of order, we agree that this is a pretty ballsy request worthy of mockery at the wedding, right?

One time instead of having a down-on-his-luck family member stay with us I put him up in an apartment and told him when the lease expired he better be ready to be on his own again.

College friendships get harder and harder to maintain as years go by. It'd be worth the 350 to help them out and prompt them to keep in touch. You'd probably even get a nice handwritten thank you card out of the deal.
