They've both been overpimped and overrated. The big difference seems to be that a lot of people like Cook so they don't see his performances as being overpraised.

the fact that you call "Always be my Baby" poor speaks volumes about your lack of taste in music. That song was downright brilliant.... he took a mariah carey song which was pure pop and turned into something completely different.... and this time it wasn;t someone else's cover of that song so he deserves full credit *unless I missed something*

I came on the cook train kind of late and even when he wasn't my favorite I didn't think he was undeserving of the praise he got. He's really stepped outside the AI box... but when he say it straight on ALW night he also knocked that out of the park too. Archie on the other hand has basically sung that same song every week, his voice is weak and thready, his performances are awkward and uncomfortable looking, he doesn't engage the audience at all and yet they act like they are watching Elvis himself up there. There is a huge disconnect between what I'm seeing and what the judges want me to THINK I'm seeing.
